The NFL keeps on rolling. Week 6 is here and what a season it has been so far!
The Bills continue to shorten as Super Bowl favourites and the NFC East all of a sudden looks like the division to beat!
There are heaps of blockbuster match ups this week including Saints v Bengals, Seahawks v Cardinals and Chiefs v Bills!
There’s plenty to love this week and hopefully we can find a few winners as well.
Here is my preview for Week 6 of the NFL.
There’s plenty of action each week on the Neds NFL Punting Podcast too, check that out below!
“Surely it can’t get any worse than last Friday” is what I’ve been saying all around the office (and on the podcast) this week.
But there is every chance this game sucks just as hard, both QBs have struggled in recent weeks and as a result, they are averaging less than 20 points scored per week.
This one will be dismal.
We put together a nice multi on the podcast this week to keep things interesting.
I also like Brian Robinson Anytime @ $4.40 but last week showed me that no touchdown games can very much happen and this could be a candidate for that as well.
One of the games I’m most excited for this week, mainly because some of my favourite players of all time are going to be playing in this one.
It’s pretty evenly balanced and The Bengals will be very motivated to win this one especially after losing against the Ravens in the dying seconds last week.
The Saints defence has been pretty impressive this year and their offense is very good when they are all on the field.
Unfortunately that hasn’t been the case so far in 2022.
I think the Bengals will win but I can’t see them running away with it so I’m going to roll with 1-13.
Anytime TD Tip: Joe Mixon
Kenny Pickett had a pretty decent debut but was never really a chance to beat the Bills last week.
This week he takes on TB12 and the Buccs and it is hard to see him getting one over Tom in this one.
Roughing the passer was a very hot topic after last weeks Bucs game but I was all for it because I tipped our NFL Open Group (Shameless plug, you should join) Tom Brady to have 350+ Pass Yards and that flag saw him throw the extra 8 yards we needed to get up!
Thanks refs!
I’m taking Tampa at the line in this one.
Tampa are Tampa and I don’t think I’ve seen enough from Pittsburgh yet to take the seriously.
Anytime TD Tip: Mike Evans
It might be painful to admit but Patriots looked very good last week.
They shut out the highest scoring offence in the league and put on a few points for their trouble as well.
The Browns while losing also looked very good last week, they seem to be doing just fine with Jacoby Brissett and should give the Pats a run for their money.
The Browns are the favourites but I’m leaning towards the Patriots, I think their defence will be the difference maker in this one and that’s why I’m taking them head to head.
Anytime TD Tip: Rhamondre Stevenson
The Packers were EMBARRASED by the Giants in London last week.
It was a game I thought the Giants would lose but the boys proved me wrong.
Green Bay now take on another New York team who also have a winning record (Unheard of for Jets and Giants fans)
I’m hoping to see the Jets lean on Breece Hall in this game.
He had 197 all purpose yards last week as well as a house call. If the Jets feed that man, this could be two Green Bay Ls to New York teams in just as many weeks.
You know what, stuff it.
Lets back the Jets, I did it last week and it worked.
Anytime TD Tip: Breece Hall
I just don’t understand the Giants this year.
They are my team, I’ve been following them for years and I cannot see any improvement on offense… but somehow we’re winning games
It’s coming off the back of our new defence as well as Mr Saquon Barkley.
I said last week was the test to see if we can hang with the big dogs and I think we can.
The Ravens are just as scary as the Packers were in my eyes and the Giants beat the Packers so I think they can beat the Ravens too.
I’m giving myself a 5.5 point buffer though just in case.
Anytime TD Tip: Daniel Jones
The only reason the Colts are 2-2-1 this year is because their defence is keeping them in games.
You take their defence away from them and they are a bad football team.
The Jags have struggled recently.
Trevor Lawrence has seven turnovers on his own in the last two weeks and will be up for another tough task but I can see them pushing through.
Travis Etienne is starting to carve out a solid role for himself and is looking like he did at Clemson so I like the Jags at $2.10.
Anytime TD Tip: Travis Etienne
The Dolphins were very unfortunate last week.
They lost back up QB Teddy Bridgewater to a concussion in a similar fashion to the way they lost Tua the week before.
Not to mention they are probably going to be without All Pro Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill who copped a leg injury.
It’s looking like Skylar Thompson will be the starting QB for them in this one and that doesn’t get me very excited.
The Vikings on the other hand are starting to hit their straps.
JJetas was open constantly last week and made his 150 yard game look effortless.
His hard work gave Dalvin Cook easy TD runs, they are a well oiled machine and I’m tipping them to run up the score in this one.
Anytime TD Tip: Dalvin Cook
The Falcons are probably the team I’ve watched the least this year if I’m totally honest.
They’re not getting Kyle Pitts the ball so quite frankly I’m not interested in what they have to offer.
San Francisco on the other side of things have probably the best defence in the league.
They have been bashing teams so far this year and I think they could be a smokey to go all the way to the Super Bowl.
They should win this one and comfortably.
I’ll be taking the 9ers at the line rather than 14+ because I don’t get as excited about their offense as I do their defence.
Anytime TD Tip: 49ers Defence
Looking forward to this one a lot.
The points line at 50.5 for this one looks a bit much for me so I’m happy to take the unders.
The stat I did find however is that the Seahawks and Cardinals are the two teams that give up the most fantasy points to tight ends this year.
I’m throwing on a Noah Fant & Zach Ertz anytime td multi and cheering on the big boys in this one!
Anytime TD Tip; Noah Fant & Zach Ertz – Don’t let me down boys!
The Rams haven’t been what people expected them to be this year but the certainly haven’t been as bad as the Panthers!
Panthers HC Matt Rhule is goooooooone and this their first game with out him. Not to mention they are Baker-less too.
Old XFL QB PJ Washington will be under centre for the Panthers so I mean that says everything right there doesn’t it.
Anytime TD Tip: Cooper Kupp
GAME OF THE WEEK!
I cannot wait for this one.
The Bills will be looking seek revenge after that coin flip cost them a shot at the Super Bowl last year and the Chiefs will look to keep rolling after a crazy MNF game against the Raiders.
I like both these teams, and I can make a case for both but the Chiefs Defence is the outlier for me.
They are averaging 25 points allowed per game and are leaving opposition teams in games.
That’s why they lost to the Colts, that’s why the Raiders were still in it constantly on Tuesday.
Josh Allen vs a defence like the Chiefs SCARES ME and he should be licking his lips in this matchup.
I’m taking the overs and hoping for fireworks from both teams.
Anytime TD Tip: Stefon Diggs, Travis Kelce, Josh Allen, Clyde Edwards-Helaire throw a dart at those names and you should be in the money
We were complaining about NFC East matchups on primetime a month ago now we’re looking forward to it.
Two teams with one loss between them go on in a historic divisional match up.
Jalen Hurts v Micah Parsons is a contest that I am incredibly excited about.
I made the bold claim that the Eagles are going undefeated this year on the pod so I have to stick with them.
Fly Eagles Fly, lines at -6 go get em boys!
Anytime TD Tip: Miles Sanders
The Chargers look red hot this year.
They are so fun to watch and they are taking on my new least favourite team to watch the Broncos.
I’m still mad about last Friday and I hope the Chargers run up the score against the Broncos for the fans.
Show them how to score points boys!
Ekeler dominated last week for LA but the Chargers D kept the Browns in the game and I’m hoping they tighten things up in this one.
Anytime TD Tip: Mike Williams
