2022 NFL Week 4 Tips & Preview

2022 NFL Week 4 Tips & Preview

Can you believe it? We are already into Week 4 of the NFL Season.

There are some new players in town this season with the Dolphins & The Eagles are the only remaining undefeated teams and the Las Vegas Raiders who were tipped to make a Super Bowl run this year are currently staring down the barrel of the 1st overall draft pick.

This weeks Friday game is set to be huge as the Bengals take on the Dolphins in what should hopefully be an offensive masterclass.

Lamar and the Ravens take on Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills and Tom Brady’s Buccaneers will go at it against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

There’s plenty to love this week and hopefully we can find a few winners as well.

Here is my preview for Week 4 of the NFL and don’t forget to subscribe to the Neds NFL Punting Podcast feed!

Miami Dolphins @ Cincinnati Bengals
Tip: Under 47 Total Points @ $1.90

Tua and the Dolphins, they’re so hot right now.

The Dolphins are on a rip and tear but could be without their beloved left handed QB who took a nasty head knock against the Bills and could sit out the TNF game with “Back Problems”.

The Bengals have been slow out of the gates this year but showed last week just how deadly they can be when they keep superstar QB Joe Burrow on his feet.

The Dolphins had four sacks on Josh Allen last week and there’s a huge chance they get more than that on Burrow, Joey Brr has been sacked 15 times in 3 weeks.

The points total is set at 47 and Given that Tua is potentially out, plus Burrow has struggled to stay upright, I’m getting on the unders in this one.

Keep an eye on Tua news, if he plays I like Jaylen Waddle anytime at $2.65

New Orleans Saints @ Minnesota Vikings
Tip: Back the Vikings to Cover the Line (-2.5 Points) @ $1.87

Two teams with playoff expectations that have been very hot and cold to start the year face off in London 11:30 PM Sunday AEST.

The Vikings are 2-1 but have looked incredibly scrappy the last two weeks, they were embarrassed by the Eagles on Monday night Week 2 and only just got up against the Lions in Week 3.

The Saints have also struggled the last two weeks losing to Tampa Bay and The Panthers.

Throw in some international travel to the mix and I have no idea what these two teams are going to give us.

However I think the Vikings at the line is the way to go in this one.

They should have a top team on paper but they just haven’t put it together on the field yet.

Seeing Marshon Lattimore on Justin Jefferson concerns me as JJettas has been shut down twice this year by Darius Slay and Jeff Okudah.

Could be a big game for the Vikings running backs.

Seattle Seahawks @ Detroit Lions
Tip: Lions 14+ @ $3.20

The Lions are a team on the rise.

Yes they are 1-2 and are currently at the bottom of the division but they have scored the second most points in the league this year (93) only trailing the Ravens (99)

The Seahawks offense has struggled this year and doesn’t have a huge amount that I’m getting excited about.

I really like the Lions in this one, they’re starting to build some incredible momentum, they shut down Justin Jefferson last week and I think they could decimate the Seahawks at home.

Chicago Bears @ New York Giants
Tip: Under 39 Points @ $1.90

Yawn…

If you’re getting up at 3am excited about this, there is something wrong with you.

The Bears are awful. Justin Fields is dead last in passing attempts this year by a long way.

Jimmy G has played half the amount of minutes as Fields this season and has more pass attempts.

The Giants who are 2-1 aren’t much better, sitting 29th in Pass Yards, 2nd in sacks allowed and 24th in points scored.

Take the under and check how it went when you wake up on Monday morning.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Philadelphia Eagles
Tip: Jaguars +6.5 @ $1.90

The Jaguars are currently leading the AFC South.

Yes you read that correctly.

I’m very excited about this game, Trevor Lawrence has one of the best games of his career last week against The Chargers and the Jags as a whole look like they are drastically improving.

The Eagles look RED HOT.

The Jalen Hurts breakout is unfolding right in front of our eyes and they are $1.36 favourites for a reason.

I think the Eagles will win but I want to see if the Jags can keep pace with them.

The Jags beat a Justin Herbert lead Chargers team last week that threw for 297 Yards.

It’s fair to say that the Eagles are a unique challenge but I think this new Jacksonville outfit can stick with them.

It’s a generous line and I’m taking the Jags.

Buffalo Bills @ Baltimore Ravens
Tip: Over 52 Points @ $1.90

Two of the best offenses in the league going at it.

The Ravens are averaging 33 PPG and the Bills 30.3, I can’t tip a winner in this one but what I do know is that the Ravens defence are allowing 25.66 Points Per Game

The points line is set at 52 and I believe two gun offences combined with the Ravens shaky defence should run up the scoreboard fairly comfortably.

New York Jets @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Tip: Jets H2H @ $2.50

Lock up your Mums Pittsburgh, Zach Wilson is in town.

The Jets come into the one as $2.50 underdogs but I think they are a huge chance to come away with a W.

Since TJ Watt has been in the league, the Steelers have not won a game when he has been on the sideline.

They are now 0-6 without their defensive stud and all the new offensive toys the Jets have could be enough to score a road win on Monday morning.

Don’t be boring, back the Jets to win.

Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts
Tip: SGM - Colts H2H, Taylor 70+ Rush Yards, Taylor Anytime

It’s an AFC South showdown on Monday morning and these two teams have also underperformed so far this season.

These are two teams that rely very heavily on their Running Backs to produce and if that gets taken away, they struggle a lot.

The Colts have the 3rd best Run defence in the league (77 Yards Per Game) and the Titans have the 4th worst (145 Yards Per Game)

That stat alone is why I’m rolling with the Colts in this one.

They are $1.53 favourites but I think Jonathan Taylor is going to have an absolute field day against this defence.

Cleveland Browns @ Atlanta Falcons
Tip: Nick Chubb Anytime

Another 3am game you shouldn’t be invested in unless you own Nick Chubb or Kyle Pitts in Fantasy.

Chubb currently has the Browns on his back and is doing everything he can to keep them in playoff contention while Deshaun Watson is suspended.

He had 23 Carries for 113 Yards and a Touchdown against the Steelers last week and although its hard to tell who will get the goal line work between him and Hunt.

I like Chubb to make another house call in this one.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Houston Texans
Tip: Chargers 14+ $3.30

Herbert is an extra week removed from that rib cartilage injury and should be ready to rock and roll against The Texans.

He played through the pain last week and still threw for nearly 300 Yards. (What is Justin Fields’ excuse?)

The Texans have the worst Run Defence in the league, they are allowing a jaw dropping 202 rush yards per game so far this season.

This could be a huge one for Austin Ekeler, 100 Yards and a TD seems very doable against them.

Jonathan Taylor had 161yds and a TD in Week 1 and Khalil Herbert had 157 and 2 TDs last week.

This one could be brutal.

I like the Chargers 14+

Washington Commanders @ Dallas Cowboys
Tip: Back under 42.5 Points @ $1.90

The NFL has finally clued on and haven’t put an NFC East game in the primetime spot.

Cooper Rush takes on Carson Wentz in what is shaping up to be must miss football.

The Commanders were awful against the Eagles last week and if the Cowboys were playing anyone not named the New York Football Giants, I would be saying the same about them.

The under is 42.5, I’m getting on that.

Arizona Cardinals @ Carolina Panthers
Tip: Cardinals H2H @ $2.02

The Panthers are the favourites over the Cardinals.

I had to double check that but yes.

The Panthers who were favourites to win the First Overall pick come into this Week 4 matchup as $1.80 favourites.

The Cardinals haven’t quite fired yet this year but have taken on the Chiefs in Week 1 and reigning Super Bowl Champs, the Rams last week.

Cards Head to Head is value, I’m getting on it.

Denver Broncos @ Las Vegas Raiders
Tip: Raiders -2.5 @ $1.90

It’s and AFC West showdown, the 0-3 Las Vegas Raiders will look to turn their poor start around against a very beatable Denver Broncos.

Don’t let the Broncs record fool you, their 2-1 isn’t as strong as the Chiefs 2-1.

They’ve been an incredibly scrappy, horrible to watch and are $2.15 underdogs for a reason.

I’m taking the Raiders at the line here. They should’ve beaten the Cardinals and were unlucky against the Titans. Concerning is an understatement if they go 0-4.

New England Patriots @ Green Bay Packers
Tip: Back Green Bay 14+ @ $2.40

The Patriots will be without QB1 Mac Jones in this matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

Rodgers is starting to gel with his pass catcher while the Patriots don’t look like much of anything this year.

I’m expecting big things from Green Bay in this one.

They should punish Brian Hoyer and The Pats.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tip: Back the Chiefs to Win @ $1.75

Game Of The Week!

I’m incredibly excited for this one and you should be too.

The Buccaneers have been the best defence this year and The Chiefs have been one of the best offenses.

I’m struggling to split these two but I think the disruptions to the Buccs’ offense & their lack of production is what is making me lean towards Mahomes and KC.

Mike Evans is back for Brady this week which is a huge in, but I think that the constant chopping and changing that roster has had to do in the first few weeks of this season will hinder their chances against the Chiefs who keep getting shorter and shorter to win another Super Bowl.

Not getting too fancy here, Chiefs Head to Head.

Los Angeles Rams @ San Francisco 49ers
Tip: Back the Rams to Win @ $2.10

49ers v Broncos last week was one of the worst games of football I have ever watched.

The 49ers looked incoherent on offense last week and were kept in that game by the defence.

The Cardinals shut down Matt Stafford last week but Sean McVay found a way to get it done.

I like the Rams in this, yes the 49ers have a better defence than The Cards but Sean McVay and Cooper Kupp are still huge factors, not to mention $2.10 is value.
