I like this one a lot. Sengun has quietly gone into full stat-pad mode, and even with Kevin Durant now in the mix, his production hasn’t dipped, it’s gone the other way.
The Houston big man is averaging a career-best 23 points per game, while also pulling down just over 9 rebounds and dishing out 7 assists. That all adds up quickly.
He’s cleared 40+ PRA in 4 of his last 5 games, with the only miss coming against Denver. This shapes as a much friendlier spot against Sacramento, especially with Domantas Sabonis sidelined. If Sengun gets his usual run, the numbers should be there again.
Second crack at Washington in a week, and I’m buying Stephon Castle to be more involved this time around.
He still managed 24 points and 5 assists in just 25 minutes in the earlier meeting thanks to it being the first leg of a back-to-back for San Antonio. That shouldn’t be an issue here.
With a break coming up over the Christmas period, Castle should see extra minutes, and the match-up is as friendly as it gets.
Washington plays at pace and owns the worst defence in the league, which is exactly what you want when backing points and assists. Plenty of scoring opportunities coming up.
