SHULTZY (1) is absolutely flying and looks well placed coming back to this grade.

The Pat Cannon-trained gelding won in this class three starts ago, letting down with a powerful finish in heavy ground to score by 3.25 lengths over 2440m at Geelong.

He has kept the form going since, placing in back-to-back runs, including a 1.25 lengths second over this course and distance last week.

Wide gates and big weights haven’t stopped him, so there’s no reason to jump off while he’s racing this well.

Forget HI VAL (5) went around first-up on the Lakeside track because nothing went to plan over 1200m.

The Ciaron Maher-trained filly showed her true form at Bendigo last start, charging home to finish a half-length second behind Lantana, who she meets again here.

The little rise in trip looks ideal, and she won her only previous third-up run.

Craig Williams hopping aboard only adds to the appeal.

PERFECT TEN (11) has done nothing wrong, finishing top two in all four starts.

The Nikki Burke-trained mare was strong late in heavy conditions last start, working home to finish a neck second over this course on the Lakeside track.

Two runs ago, she looked in trouble when headed but rallied strongly to win over this course and distance.

She maps to get every favour, and with Craig Williams taking over, she looks a major player again.

ZUNNA (11) was excellent over 1200m on the Lakeside track last start when chasing home the unbeaten Tennessee Bound.

The Phillip Stokes-trained mare was found to be lame after the run, yet still worked home strongly to get within 2.5 lengths of a very promising winner.

She rises to 1400m for the first time, but she’s rock-hard fit and has been finishing off well over six furlongs.

Lachlan Neindorf should be able to put her into the race from a prominent position.
