Thanksgiving has arrived in the US and we are treated this week to three Friday games as well as a full slate of game.
Teams are starting to lock divisions and playoff spots will be on the line in the next few weeks.
I’ve run my eyes over each game, here’s where I’ve landed for Week 13
It’s bizarre to me that we’re 13 weeks into the season and these two NFC North sides have no met yet this season.
This is the first of two times these sides will play each other in a month and Chicago’s defence has me very worried coming into this matchup.
Caleb Williams had to throw for 360 yards last week to keep them in the game against the Vikings and inevitably went down.
I don’t think the Bears D will have an answer for Goff and the boys, they are simply the best team in football at the moment.
My Bets
- Lions -9.5 @ $1.90
- Jahmyr Gibbs 60+ Rushing Yards
- Amon-Ra St. Brown Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Despite copping a lot of heat in the media, the Cowboys look servicable last week and picked up a win thanks to a Commanders missed PAT.
It gets even easier for them this week with a matchup against New York who look like the most disjointed and unmotivated team in the league.
Drew Lock will start for New York in this one after Tommy DeVito was injured last week.
The line is only 3.5 points here, I think the Cowboys cover that comfortably.
My Bets
- Dallas Cowboys -3.5 @ $1.94
- Cooper Rush 200+ Passing Yards
- Rico Dowdle Anytime Touchdown Scorer
The Packers are humming right now and we should get a bloody good game here too considering the Dolphins are also in a little purple patch at the moment as well.
I don’t know if the Dolphins have enough to fully keep up with Green Bay though, they seem to be able to win however they want at the moment and based purely off Josh Jacob’s game last week. I think Green Bay will do enough to at least cover this 3.5 point line.
My Bets
- Packers -3.5 @ $1.94
- Josh Jacobs 60+ Rushing Yards
- Josh Jacobs Anytime Touchdown Scorer
We have a rare Saturday morning game this week with the Thanksgiving slate of games and we could see a closer game here than the bookies expect.
The Chief are struggling to shut the bad teams down this year. The Panthers took them to OT last week and the Raiders in the reverse fixture a couple weeks ago kept this matchup really close.
We have a 13 point line here and I’ve seen nothing from the Chiefs this year to say they’ll blow this team out. Even without Minshew.
Raiders to cover.
My Bets
- Raiders +13 @ $1.87
- Patrick Mahomes 250+ Passing Yards
- DeAndre Hopkins Anytime Touchdown
I don’t know if the Cardinals can keep up with this Vikings team.
The Cardinals’ campaign has stalled these last few weeks and the Vikings keep finding ways to win even when teams shut down Justin Jefferson.
It’s been a rough patch for JJettas, he’s copping all of the defensive focus at the moment but that’s leaving Jordan Addison wide open.
Good players don’t stay down for too long and I like Jefferson to have a big game here and believe he will be a big factor in a Vikings win.
My Bets
- Vikings -3.5 @ $1.90
- Justin Jefferson 70+ Receiving Yards
- Justin Jefferson Anytime Touchdown
This is shaping up to be a good game too.
The Falcons fresh off the bye will look to keep their playoff campaign alive against a Chargers team who despite a loss last week look pretty bloody good.
WR drops are the big issue for the Chargers last week, QJ really sold Herbert and you can’t have drives stalling like they did last week and expect to go deep into the playoffs.
I think the Chargers edge this one out, they have the better defense and WR play would more than likely be what they ironed out at training this week.
My Bets
- Chargers H2H @ $1.83
- Ladd McConkey 60+ Receiving Yards
- Gus Edwards Anytime Touchdown
One of the games I will be staying away from when I tune into the early morning broadcast.
The Patriots have shown flashes this year but it was an ugly loss to Miami last week.
The Colts weren’t much better, granted they were up against the Lions but all roads seem to lead towards a stinker in this matchup.
Indianapolis at the 2.5 point line is where I lean in this one, Surely they win by at least a field goal.
My Bets
- Colts -2.5 @ $1.90
- Anthony Richardson Anytime Touchdown
- Anthony Richardson 50+ Rushing Yards
It’s been a bit of a down patch for the Commies these last few weeks but they get a chance to bounce back this week.
The Titans put 32 on the Texans in a pretty wild game and that’s made me a little hesitant to just flop it out on the table and back Washington blindly but there’s just something about both these sides that lead me to believe the Commanders should get out to a comfortable lead here and run the clock down.
Daniels is too good of a QB not to bounce back and I think the Titans defense (or lack of) will go a long way to help him here.
My Bets
- Commanders -5.5 @ $1.87
- Jayden Daniels 250+ Passing Yards
- Terry McLaurin Anytime Touchdown
The Texans have hit a rough patch these last few weeks but there’s not many teams in a worse spot than the Jags ATM.
Trevor Lawrence is confident he’ll play this weekend but the Jags defence is one of the worst in the league and CJ Stroud seems poised to exploit that in this game.
Nico Collins is the guy I want a piece of in this Texans game, Stroud forcefeeds him every week and they should do away with the Jags here.
4 point line against a team that might trot out a backup QB is crazy value.
My Bets
- Houston Texans -4 @ $1.90
- Nico Collins 70+ Receiving Yards
- Nico Collins Anytime Touchdown
Seattle are the kings of the NFC West right now and now get to beat up on a very very sad New York Jets team.
The Jets have a million issue at the moment and Seattle seem to be firing on all cylinders.
Big fan of Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s emergence this season, I think he has a big game this week.
My Bets
- Seattle Seahawks 14+ @ $4.25
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba 60+ Receiving Yards
- Ken Walker Anytime Touchdown
The Bengals are favourites in this game but it all rests on Burrow’s shoulders in what should be a bloody tight AFC North rivalry game.
The Bengals defence needs to do their franchise QB some favours in this game. He’s leaving nothing out there these last few weeks and they keep finding a way to let him down.
SURELY
SURELY that doesn’t happen again this week, the Steelers went down to the Browns in the snow last week, I’ve got all my fingers and toes crossed Cincy can finally pick up a W.
My Bets
- Bengals H2H @ $1.65
- Joe Burrow 250+ Passing Yards
- Ja’Marr Chase Anytime Touchdown
Quite possibly the hardest game to split this week.
The Panthers just took the Chiefs as in the back to back Champs to over time last week and Bryce Young is playing at a level that not many other QBs are at this point in the year.
They are underdogs this week against a Buccs side who did decimate the Giants last week but have been incredibly shakey previously.
There seems to be a sense of belief in Carolina at the moment and I know it’s fruity but this is a game they could genuinely win.
My Bets
- Panthers H2H @ $3.00
- Bryce Young 225+ Passing Yards
- Chuba Hubbard Anytime Touchdown
- Mike Evans Anytime Touchdown
I don’t give the Saints much of a chance in this one.
The Rams are a much better side on paper and despite going down to the Eagles last week should do away with the Saints comfortably here.
It’s a short line, let’s take advantage of it.
My Bets
- Rams -2.5 @ $1.87
- Puka Nacua 60+ Receiving Yards
- Puka Nacua Anytime Touchdown
Jeez we’ve got some good games this week.
I want to call this game a shoot out but I think it will be all on the ground. What do we call that.
Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley do battle here for running back supremacy and we could be in for must watch TV.
The Ravens defence is still very leaky which makes me lean towards Philly but I think the smart play and the play I want to make as a football enjoyer is on the overs.
It’s the same price as the line and then I can just watch these two offensive juggernauts go at it and it won’t be spoiled if I’m on the wrong side team wise.
Overs and big pieces of the ground game for me.
RUN THE DAMN BALL!
My Bets
- Over 51.5 Total Points @ $1.90
- Derrick Henry & Saquon Barkley 200+ Rushing Yards Combined
- Derrick Henry & Saquon Barkley 2+ Touchdowns Combined
I was really looking forward to this game but it’s looking like San Fran has fallen off a cliff these last few weeks.
It’s yet to be seen if Purdy will play in this one and I’m leaning towards no but the 49ers are the most unreliable team in the league when it comes to injury reports.
I’m treating this like Brock isn’t pay and I think that Buffalo will be far too good.
The 9ers really struggled last week without Brock and I think it’s taller task this week against Josh Allen.
My Bets
- Bills 14+ @ $2.60
- James Cook 60+ Rushing Yards
- James Cook Anytime Touchdown
The Broncos are so hot right now and have a chance at a wildcard berth. A win over the Browns on MNF would go a really long way.
Bo Nix is having a late OROY charge and I really like this matchup for him.
The Browns have been so up and down this year it’s not funny.
The snow really saved Cleveland last week, I think the Broncs get them here.
My Bets
- Broncos -5.5 @ $1.90
- Bo Nix 250+ Passing Yards
- Courtland Sutton Anytime Touchdown
4/5 last week and it was a grim one leg loss.
I’m convinced James Conner didn’t even play in that game. 7 carries for 8 yards…WTF
We go again, here’s what I’ve cheffed up.
Just to recap in Week 12 we had:
- Quarterback: Patrick Mahomes Over 250+ Passing Yards ✓
- Runningback: James Conner 60+ Rushing Yards X
- Runningback: Aaron Jones 60+ Rushing Yards ✓
- Wide Receiver: Malik Nabers 60+ Receiving Yards ✓
- Wide Receiver: Ladd McConkey 60+ Receiving Yards ✓
Week 13’s Fantasy team looks like this:
- Quarterback: CJ Stroud Over 250+ Passing Yards
- Runningback: Bucky Irving 60+ Rushing Yards
- Runningback: Alvin Kamara 60+ Rushing Yards
- Wide Receiver: AJ Brown 60+ Receiving Yards
- Wide Receiver: Puka Nacua 60+ Receiving Yards
