For the second time in three years and the third time in Champions League history, two English Premier League clubs will fight it out for the biggest prize in European Football.
Chelsea is looking to claim its second UCL title from three attempts, with their previous two final appearances requiring a penalty shootout to decide a winner.
On the other side, this will be Manchester City’s maiden Champions League Final appearance, becoming the ninth English side to compete for the title since 1967.

Durning a season full of adversity, Manchester City have once again climbed to the top of the pile, and are competing for the treble after hoisting up both the EFL Cup and Premier League trophy.
Alternatively, the Blues got off to a less than ideal start to the season, reluctantly parting ways with manager and former club legend Frank Lampard before signing Thomas Tuchel.
A decision which proved a touch of genius, as Chelsea went on to reach the FA Cup final, climb from 8th to 4th in the PL and fly through to the UCL final, all while absorbing a thousand missed chances from German striker Timo Werner!
City and Chelsea have already met three times this season, the Citizens tore through the Blues 3-1 in the opening fixture before the dismissal of Lampard, the Blues then went on to claim the next two games 1-0 and 2-1 under the watchful eye of Tuchel.
City and Chelsea can thank their phenomenal 2020/21 UCL campaigns on resolute defence, with both sides conceding just four goals across their respective 12 match journey to the final!
This defence has been especial prevalent in Tuchel’s Blues squad, who made 13 time European Champs Real Madrid look like Sheffield United over both legs of their semi final.
Just one of the previous 10 sides to make their maiden UCL final appearance has gone on to lift the trophy, and although City have been dominant throughout the season, no side is immune to big game jitters.
Pep Guardiola has lost more matches to Chelsea (7) than any other side during his lengthy managerial career, while only scoring one goal across his last four H2H matches against Tuchel.
A penalty shootout was required after a scoreless 120 minutes of play during last time these two managers met in a final, on that night Pep’s Bayern Munich went on to win (4-3) in pens against Tuchel’s Dortmund.
Chelsea have the mental edge after seeing off City twice since April, and the deeper this game goes the more likely the Blues will come out on top.
Value Tips:
Chelsea to win on pens $11
Timo Werner to Score $4.50
