2019 Wimbledon Tips & Preview

2019 Wimbledon Tips & Preview

The year’s third Grand Slam has arrived, and we are set for two weeks of world-class tennis as the best players on the planet descend on London for Wimbledon 2019 from Monday.

For the first time in a long time, Australia has someone serious to cheer for. Ash Barty enjoyed an outstanding campaign at Roland Garros which culminated in her first ever Grand Slam title, and she is subsequently the $5 favourite to win the Women’s Singles at Wimbledon.

In the Men’s Singles, the usual suspects tie the first few lines; Novak Djokovic is the $2.40 favourite from Roger Federer ($4) and Rafael Nadal ($6). 2019 Wimbledon betting suggests that Nick Kyrgios is Australia’s best chance of winning the Men’s Singles, but he remains a $26 outsider.

We’ll be providing free tips each and every day of Wimbledon 2019 but prior to first serve, you can find our outright 2019 Wimbledon tips, including best roughies below.

Men’s Singles
Our Tip – Novak Djokovic ($2.40)

It’s always difficult to look past one of the ‘big three’ in Grand Slam betting, but I am particularly confident that the market has this one right and that Novak Djokovic will be extremely difficult to beat at the All England Club.

He was utterly dominant at the Australia Open and has returned plenty of typically pleasing tournament results since; winning the Madrid Open and reaching the semis of the French Open, most notably. There is no doubt that he’ll relish a return to turf, and he can claim his sixteenth career Grand Slam title.

Best Roughie – Karen Khachanov ($41)

Tenth seed Karen Khachanov has continued to produce competitive performances against quality opponents in 2019 and he does look a touch of overs in 2019 Wimbledon betting at $41. The twenty-three-year-old has experienced something of a meteoric rise to prominence during the last couple of seasons and reached the fourth round of Wimbledon in 2018.

He reached the quarterfinals at Roland Garros last month before being eliminated by eventual finalist Dominic Thiem and he is primed for a competitive showing at the All England Club.

Women’s Singles
Our Tip – Serena Williams ($6)

I am a huge fan of the Barty Party and I would love to see Ash go bang-bang, two Grand Slams, but I simply cannot look past the value on offer for Serena Williams in 2019 Wimbledon betting.

Williams failed to fire at the French Open, but there is absolutely no denying her ability and record at Wimbledon – she has saluted here seven times previously. When the pressure goes on, there is no one more reliable on either side of the draw and I am more than happy to take the $6.

Best Roughie – Garbine Muguruza ($21)

In terms of outright betting, $21 might not look to be particularly ‘rough’ but given how open the WTA Tour has been for several seasons now, there’s plenty of value around several world-class players including Spaniard Garbine Muguruza.

Muguruza is a two-time Grand Slam champion, which includes the 2017 Wimbledon title and she is a player than tends to keep her best performances for the grass court season. She’ll obviously need to improve and she’ll require plenty of luck, but she also clearly has the class, at her best.
