Villa have somehow gone three league games without scoring, which is not exactly the Unai Emery experience anybody signed up for.<\/p>\n

The good news is they are back at Villa Park; the bad news is Forest are usually more than happy to turn this into a slow, scrappy afternoon and make everybody regret buying a ticket.<\/p>\n

Villa\u2019s midfield is stretched, with Jo\u00e3o Gomes still suspended and Amadou Onana out long term, while Forest have a far cleaner injury picture.<\/p>\n

I can see Villa finally breaking their duck, but I\u2019m not convinced they suddenly become a free-scoring outfit after Tuesday\u2019s Champions League trip.<\/p>\n

This feels like one of those games where neither fanbase walks away thrilled.<\/p>\n

Brentford are unbeaten through three and look like the more settled side here, which is a sentence Bournemouth fans probably did not want to read in September.<\/p>\n

The Cherries have talent in the final third, but they are missing enough bodies to make their attack feel a little patched together.<\/p>\n

Evanilson should lead the line again and always gives Bournemouth a chance at home, but Brentford have a proper focal point in Igor Thiago.<\/p>\n

He has started the season well, he is expected to start again, and Bournemouth have been giving up enough chances to make him the obvious name to circle.<\/p>\n

This has draw written all over it. Brentford have been difficult to beat; Bournemouth have been difficult to separate from anyone.<\/p>\n

Chelsea at Stamford Bridge against a promoted side should be the sort of fixture that has the home fans checking how many they can put past them.<\/p>\n

But Hull have made a very decent fist of life back in the big league and arrive with only one defeat-free result after another.<\/p>\n

Still, Chelsea have too many ways to hurt a side sitting deep.<\/p>\n

Cole Palmer between the lines, Pedro Neto running at wing-backs, Morgan Rogers carrying the ball and Jo\u00e3o Pedro drifting into the annoying little pockets defenders hate dealing with, it is a lot to manage for 90 minutes.<\/p>\n

Hull will make it competitive for a while, but I reckon Chelsea eventually find the breakthrough and then make it a long afternoon for the Tigers.<\/p>\n

Palace got the much-needed win at Fulham last week, but they are still missing the two players you would most want available in a game like this: Jean-Philippe Mateta and Isma\u00efla Sarr.<\/p>\n

That leaves a lot of responsibility on the supporting cast.<\/p>\n

Step forward Tyrick Mitchell, apparently. The left-back already has two league goals from just five shots, which is ridiculous behaviour but we will not be complaining if he keeps it up.<\/p>\n

Ipswich can carry a threat of their own, Julio Enciso has been firing away without much luck, but their defending has been a problem against better attacks.<\/p>\n

Palace should have enough at Selhurst, even if this is not exactly the usual Mateta-and-vibes blueprint.<\/p>\n

Liverpool have not exactly been blowing teams away yet, but they are unbeaten, they are at Anfield, and Fulham have lost all three league games.<\/p>\n

That is the sort of equation even I can work out.<\/p>\n

Alexander Isak looks like he has settled in rather quickly, with three goals already, and Liverpool\u2019s attack has enough quality around him to keep Fulham pinned back for long periods.<\/p>\n

The one small warning is the Champions League turnaround: Liverpool play Atl\u00e9tico Madrid on Wednesday, then face Fulham less than three days later.<\/p>\n

Even so, Fulham are winless and leaking chances. If Liverpool are serious, this is a game they simply need to handle.<\/p>\n

Spurs have one point and zero league goals from three games.<\/p>\n

That is a brutal little stat, especially for a Roberto De Zerbi side supposedly built to make football look fun.<\/p>\n

At the moment, it looks like somebody has hidden the instruction manual.<\/p>\n

Everton will not make this easy. They are organised, they have physicality at both ends, and Thierno Barry gives them a genuine outlet if Spurs get too enthusiastic with the full-backs.<\/p>\n

But this feels like a spot where Spurs need a response, and Omar Marmoush looks the man most likely to provide it.<\/p>\n

He is strongly expected to start up top again, and his movement could be the difference against an Everton defence that will happily sit in and dare Spurs to find a clever way through.<\/p>\n

Arsenal have started with two wins and two clean sheets, which is about as Arsenal as it gets: control the ball, control the game, let somebody else panic.<\/p>\n

Sunderland have competed well, but this is a major step up after taking four points from their opening three.<\/p>\n

The Gunners do have a couple of defensive question marks, particularly with William Saliba unavailable and several others being monitored after the Napoli game.<\/p>\n

But Bukayo Saka is the obvious difference-maker. He already has two goals from five shots and, frankly, needs about half a chance to create a problem.<\/p>\n

Sunderland will stay in it for a while at the Stadium of Light, but Arsenal should have too much class once the game opens up.<\/p>\n

Coventry have been competitive without getting much reward, and Brighton are arriving with half a treatment room\u2019s worth of absentees.<\/p>\n

Kaoru Mitoma, Yankuba Minteh, Mats Wieffer and Evan Ferguson are among the major names unavailable, so this is not the usual Brighton side rolling up with 15 different ways to hurt you.<\/p>\n

That gives Coventry a real shot here.<\/p>\n

Gus Hamer remains their best chance creator and dead-ball threat, while Brighton will still have enough quality in midfield to control large spells.<\/p>\n

It is a game that could get a bit weird, which is usually when Coventry feel right at home.<\/p>\n

I can see both teams finding one, but neither doing quite enough to take it.<\/p>\n

The Manchester derby has arrived early, and United could really do without it after a wildly inconsistent opening three games.<\/p>\n

A 5-2 win over Ipswich was followed by a 2-2 draw at Everton, while City have quietly taken maximum points from their first three league fixtures.<\/p>\n

United have enough attacking quality to hurt anybody at Old Trafford, Bruno Fernandes, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha is not a bad collection of problem-causers, but their midweek Champions League game on Thursday is a nasty turnaround before facing City on Sunday.<\/p>\n

City also have a European fixture, but they play on Tuesday and have a much better recovery window. And when Erling Haaland is fit, expected to start and already among the early Golden Boot leaders, it is hard to look much further.<\/p>\n

Leeds are unbeaten and have already shown they are going to make Elland Road a very unpleasant place to visit.<\/p>\n

They have drawn their past two after beating Forest in the opener, but there is a clear structure there and Dominic Calvert-Lewin gives them a proper target when the game gets messy.<\/p>\n

Newcastle are unbeaten too, though, and Yoane Wissa has quickly become the main man.<\/p>\n

With Alexander Isak now at Liverpool, the former Brentford forward has taken on the centre-forward role and looks the likeliest Newcastle player to nick one in a tight game.<\/p>\n

Monday night at Elland Road should be spicy.<\/p>\n

I do not see either side rolling over, and a score draw feels the sensible call, which is usually code for \u201cboth teams will make me sweat for 90 minutes\u201d.<\/p>\n
