It\u2019s one of the biggest games of the week, and it could come down to who kicks the final goal of the night.<\/p>\n

We give the edge to Melbourne, which has turned its season around with three consecutive wins. A notable win over Hawthorn got the Demons started on their winning streak, followed by wins over Richmond and North Melbourne.<\/p>\n

An improved attacking line has helped Melbourne reach new heights in 2026, and a win over Geelong would place them nicely inside the top eight, and more importantly, keep last year\u2019s finalists Geelong outside the top eight.<\/p>\n

Melbourne -1.5 is a bet worth including in AFL predictions.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t see much value in betting Fremantle to cover the spread. The Dockers failed to cover the spread against Port Adelaide last week, but we don\u2019t feel comfortable backing West Coast to play well.<\/p>\n

However, Jye Amiss is likely to have a big scoring game for the Dockers. He kicked four against the Power, and when Amiss is on his game, he can\u2019t miss. He\u2019s an accurate kick, and one of Fremantle\u2019s best attacking players.<\/p>\n

The Dockers could barrage West Coast inside the 50, and many of the marks could come from Amiss. Punters get value odds of .88 with Neds, which is much better than elsewhere.<\/p>\n

How good was it seeing Essendon win last week? Even if you\u2019re not a Bombers fan, it was a great result for the struggling club. Despite the win over GWS, Nate Caddy didn\u2019t kick a goal, which is surprising.<\/p>\n

Caddy has been their best attacking threat all year, and it\u2019s hard to keep a good man down. Our predictions have Caddy firing back with a big effort, and although scoring chances could be limited against Hawthorn, his tenacity sets him apart.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to believe GWS could play as poorly as it did last week again this Saturday. Losing to Essendon is a tough result to stomach for GIANTS fans, but they could put that loss behind them with a big game against Sydney.<\/p>\n

The Swans, having lost their last two games, aren\u2019t flying. The loss to Fremantle appeared to have dented their confidence, and that was followed by a loss to Adelaide last week. It\u2019s a concerning sign, and GWS could capitalise.<\/p>\n

Richmond is having another one of those years. It\u2019s tough to bet on a team that seemingly gave up against Hawthorn last week, which leaves Western Bulldogs as the team to follow in this match.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs have looked shaky at times, but with three wins from their last four games, they\u2019re back on the right track. Marcus Bontempelli has been leading from the front, and another big game from him should be enough for the Bulldogs to cover the -41.5 number.<\/p>\n
