Carlos Ulberg will be in search of gold this weekend and, in turn, become the second New Zealand-born champion in the UFC.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His winning streak will extend into double figures should he beat Jiri Prochazka in the main\u00a0event,\u00a0but there are plenty of fights to look forward to.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A former two division champion in RIZIN as well as a UFC champion of the light heavyweight division, Jiri Prochazka has climbed the mountain once more to fight for the vacant belt.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He has just two losses in the UFC and both came to the same man: <\/span>Alex Pereira.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Back to back\u00a0knockout wins over\u00a0Jamahal\u00a0Hill and a comprehensive beatdown of Khalil Rountree has earned him the right to fight for gold again.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Carlos Ulberg won a contract through Dana White\u2019s Contender Series but lost his first fight in the octagon.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since\u00a0then\u00a0he has won nine consecutive fights including Dominick Reyes and former champion Jan Blachowicz.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is patient when he needs to be, comes out of the elite Citi Kickboxing team and is a structurally sound boxer.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both of these\u00a0men\u00a0possess\u00a0the ability to end the fight with one\u00a0shot\u00a0but both have proven that they can take a punch and have good chins.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These two fighters are separating in age by just over a week which is crazy to think considering Paulo Costa made his UFC debut in 2017.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Azamat\u00a0Murzakanov\u00a0is an undefeated fighter which includes six straight wins in the UFC since 2022.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In that same time Costa has gone 2-2 in the\u00a0UFC\u00a0but both losses have been against former champions and have gone the distance.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Costa has fought against the\u00a0very best\u00a0for many years and although Azamat\u00a0Murzakanov\u00a0has some momentum behind him, I\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0back him at such a short quote.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The market has this\u00a0wrong in my opinion.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He fought for the title against Tom Aspinall in July 2024 but lost via knockout in the very first round.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

His exceptional wrestling skills\u00a0has\u00a0afforded him an advantage over many of his opponents over the years and he has a vicious ground and pound once the fight goes to the canvas.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Josh Hokit is a\u00a029 year-old\u00a0undefeated fighter who won a contract through DWCS in August 2025 and has two first round knockout wins since.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While never playing an NFL\u00a0game\u00a0he was on the roster at the 49ers and Cardinals as a young athlete before starting his pro MMA career in Bellator.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is\u00a0a very dangerous\u00a0striker\u00a0but this is a massive step up for him against\u00a0a very dangerous\u00a0and experienced opponent.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
