ZOUTASTIC (3)<\/strong> has gone up nice double-figure odds again for a mare who continues to race well.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She was third here last start over\u00a0100m\u00a0shorter, returning off a four-week let-up to find the line well after leading along the fence for most of the way.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The daughter to\u00a0Zoustar\u00a0has some nice wet track experience on her resume and\u00a0she\u2019s\u00a0still\u00a0only to improvement\u00a0on less of a turnaround now.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The filly\u00a0by Yes\u00a0Yes\u00a0Yes\u00a0hasn\u2019t\u00a0done much wrong in four career starts, winning for a second time two back on the Sunshine Coast, before stepping out at Eagle Farm where she found one better over the late stages after\u00a0racing\u00a0up on the speed.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She\u2019s another one that will appreciate some sting out of the track, and she maps to find the front early again from the inside alley.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ciaron Maher\u2019s talented stayer resumed over the mile at Caulfield to start the month, finishing midfield over a distance well short of his best.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You could argue\u00a0he\u2019ll\u00a0be wanting longer again as he grows in fitness, but from a nice soft gate that should allow him to settle just off the speed, he appeals big time in a race like this.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a slightly harsh step up to\u00a01200m, but she was strong to the line two weeks ago when searching for a run along the inside before Agrarian Girl too strong over the final furlong or so.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The daughter to Trapeze Artist was equally encouraging on debut at Rosehill during the spring last\u00a0year\u00a0and it feels as though\u00a0she\u2019s\u00a0close to putting it all together now.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Blue Point mare was away awkwardly upon spotting the rest of the field a decent start from the back, eventually charging home when it was much too late after weaving her way through traffic down the straight.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A previous Group 2 placegetter, she\u2019s capable of making amends second-up with Nash Rawiller taking back over in the saddle from a perfect gate in the Guy Walter<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her first-up win of the Eskimo Prince Stakes<\/a> a few weeks ago was nothing short of impressive, putting paid to her rivals by more than a length thanks to an absolute peach of a ride from Chad Schofield.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A few\u00a0query\u00a0here over 1400m for just the second time, but after savaging the line so well, she should be back early off the speed and looking to pounce when it matters most again.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For value, AELIANA (9)<\/strong> is worth including in a multi or even for a place.\u00a0She\u2019s\u00a0second-up with the inside gate working in her\u00a0favour\u00a0and the rise to the mile also looking ideal at this stage of her prep.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

THE INSTRUCTOR (3)<\/strong> finds an easier race here in the Liverpool City Cup<\/a> after being thrown in the deep end a couple of weeks ago in the Apollo Stakes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Waterhouse\/Bott five-year-old was outclassed despite finishing fourth, holding his own all the way to the line in what was still a\u00a0somewhat brave\u00a0performance stepping up to\u00a01400m.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He should appreciate this drop back in class on Saturday as well as the slight step back to\u00a01300m. The wide gate\u00a0likely sees\u00a0him roll forward and contest for the front early in a race that looks to pack a bit of early speed.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I was with BEV\u2019S NINE (11)<\/strong> before he was scratched from last week\u2019s sprint\u00a0race,\u00a0and\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0not about to hop off.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Granted,\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0tackling a slightly longer trip here off a five-week freshen-up, but unbeaten in four starts,\u00a0there\u2019s\u00a0no reason to doubt him \u2013 especially off a very likeable Canterbury trial between starts.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

His latest win at Rosehill was also impressive, chasing hard down the outside of the straight to win with a lot left in the tank. On form alone, a similar performance would see him hard to beat.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
