That will be a success given their start.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s start with the strengths.<\/p>\n<p>Carlton is the best front half team in football this season.<\/p>\n<p>Heading into their demolition of North, the Blues were fifth in the league in total intercepts and 39% of those intercepts were in the mid-forward zone or inside 50, best in the league.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/JamesIves17\/status\/1911960909389701134\/photo\/1<\/p>\n<p>Including the North game, the Blues are fifth in front half scoring, though that number is inflated by scoring 94 and 68 points from the front half against West Coast and North.<\/p>\n<p>Even still, this team gets a lot of turnovers in good spots.<\/p>\n<p>Another strength is the contest game.<\/p>\n<p>They are the best clearance and contested ball team in football, though they are eighth in stoppage scoring &#8211; even with 77 points from stoppage against North.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Durdin with the pressure, Charlie does the rest \ud83e\udd1d<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/AFLNorthBlues?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#AFLNorthBlues<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xKgIhvSUcM\">pic.twitter.com\/xKgIhvSUcM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; AFL (@AFL) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AFL\/status\/1913135115670003813?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 18, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Their final strength is their defence.<\/p>\n<p>The Blues\u2019 territory dominance shows in their inside 50 differential, which is second in the AFL.<\/p>\n<p>But separate from that, even when the ball goes inside 50 against them, they\u2019re the fourth best defence at stopping opponents registering scoring shots per inside 50.<\/p>\n<p>The Blues are as subtle as Jack in <em>The Shining.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Shining (1980) - Are You Concerned About Me?
