I would say two: Ocean\u2019s 11 and Michael Clayton.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s in a couple of other good movies like Ocean\u2019s 12 and Wolfs, but generally he\u2019s had a mediocre career and I don\u2019t know if he\u2019s particularly talented in general.<\/p>\n<p>But\u2026he\u2019s incredibly handsome and good-looking people fail upwards.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Giamatti is the inverse Clooney. Dramatically less handsome and dramatically more talented.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"THE HOLDOVERS - &quot;The Classroom&quot; Official Clip - In Select Theaters This Friday\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wN9Lx3AiQ-c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Giamatti is just recently getting the shine he\u2019s earned over a number of years, while Clooney has been one of the most famous people of my lifetime and has a half a billion dollar net worth.<\/p>\n<p>Pretty bleak start to this column, hey?<\/p>\n<p>But fear not, some positivity is coming, or if not positivity, at least some semblance of justice.<\/p>\n<p>In the NFL in 2024, you get what you deserve.<\/p>\n<p>Three franchises made their beds with linen that is made from various levels of moral culpability and organisational rot, and now they are stuck sleeping in them.<\/p>\n<p>The three franchises that I want to focus on are the Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, and, course, the Cleveland Browns.<\/p>\n<p>First, the Cowboys.<\/p>\n<p>The Dallas Cowboys are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/mikeozanian\/2023\/09\/08\/the-worlds-50-most-valuable-sports-teams-2023\/\">single most valuable sporting franchise in the world,<\/a> and have been for as long as I remember.<\/p>\n<p>Forbes estimates their value at $9 billion.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re owned by Jerry Jones and the Jones family.<\/p>\n<p>The next most valuable NFL team, the Patriots, are $2 billion less valuable.<\/p>\n<p>Despite their absurd financial position, they run the team like a local restaurant that are trying to stiff their staff out of penalty rates.<\/p>\n<p>They tried to pinch pennies on the Dak Prescott and Ceedee Lamb extensions, before ultimately being forced to sign the players to the contracts they were always going to have to sign them to.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udea8 \ud83d\udea8 \ud83d\udea8 <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Cowboys?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Cowboys<\/a> and QB Dak Prescott have a deal! He gets a 4-year deal worth a record $240M(!) with $231M guaranteed, per me and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TomPelissero?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@TomPelissero<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Owner Jerry Jones and agent Todd France and his team from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AthletesFirst?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@AthletesFirst<\/a> closed it out. But Dallas brass and Elliott\u2019s agents have had some contract extension talks, I\u2019m told. It\u2019s not close. autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>If you make all of those terrible decisions, then you deserve the 24th best offence in the league and a 2-3 record through five games (I am writing this before the Jets play the Bills on MNF).<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the Browns.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not hard to guess where I\u2019m going here, but it is so sweet when karma hits so swiftly.<\/p>\n<p>The Browns signed Deshaun Watson to a 5 year, $230,000,000 deal in 2022, while he was under investigation for 22 separate sexual assault lawsuits.<\/p>\n<p>The deal was notable because of player friendly it was because it is fully guaranteed, which is unprecedented in the NFL.<\/p>\n<p>No market-setting player before or since has got a fully guaranteed contract.<\/p>\n<p>How is it going?<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Deshaun Watson has more settled lawsuits (23) than touchdown passes (19) since being traded to the Browns<\/p>\n<p>&mdash;
