Even if you know nothing about the National Football League, you can still have a bit of fun with Super Bowl LVI on Monday.<\/p>\n
The world\u2019s biggest annual sporting event is as big of a show as it is a title decider with all sorts of pomp and circumstance surrounding game.<\/p>\n
Whether it is the full day of pregame build up, the national anthem featuring air force flyover, the halftime concert extravaganza or the crowning of the \u201cWorld Champions\u201d after the fourth quarter, they know how to milk it over in the States.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re starting off with a bang and this is the lowest total time for a Super Bowl anthem in a decade since Kelly Clarkson belted it out in 1:34 in Indianapolis.<\/p>\n
Eight of the last ten have gone for over two minutes including the 2:17 effort by Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church in Tampa last year.<\/p>\n
That was a push on the Vegas line and this year, country signer Mickey Guyton\u2019s number has landed at 99.5 seconds (or 1:39.5 if you prefer it in that format).<\/p>\n
During a Memorial Day Concert in 2021, she was clocked at just 83 seconds showing she means business when it comes to the Star Spangled Banner.<\/p>\n
While she is a seasoned performer, there are bound to be some nerves on this stage so she\u2019ll stick with what she knows and I\u2019ll take the under.<\/p>\n
Under 99.5 Seconds @ $1.88<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n As we just mentioned, Mickey Guyton is a seasoned performer with history of doing the anthem.<\/p>\n I\u2019m not expecting her to repeat the efforts of Christina Aguilera in Dallas in 2011 and forget a word.<\/p>\n And at $7.00, it\u2019s not a price I\u2019m willing to jump on.<\/p>\n NO BET<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Even with a short and sharp anthem, there will be cameras zooming in on the key figures ahead of Super Bowl LVI.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a 50-50 shot in terms of which coach the director will go to first, so let\u2019s take the value of the underdog.<\/p>\n Zac Taylor @ $2.10<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Same as the previous market, it\u2019s a 50-50 show here so take the outsider.<\/p>\n Matthew Stafford @ $1.95<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n It sounds like we\u2019re going to see five planes involved in the fly over at the end of the anthem, but if there\u2019s a secret change of plans in the next 48 hours, this is a bet to run with.<\/p>\n While the five will likely take up the Flying V formation from the original Mighty Ducks movie, take a punt on a sixth following the leader in the centre.<\/p>\n Over 5 @ $1.88<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The biggest coin toss in Super Bowl history came before overtime in Super Bowl LI.<\/p>\n Patriots captain Matthew Slater called heads, it came up heads and Tom Brady went to work.<\/p>\n That\u2019s good enough for me.<\/p>\n Heads @ $1.95<\/strong><\/p>\n It\u2019s a 50-50 shot so if you really want to take a punt here go for it but at even odds I\u2019ll steer clear.<\/p>\n NO BET<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The halftime show markets are always interesting ones to follow as information from rehearsals start to leak out and the odds undergo a dramatic shift.<\/p>\n Last year Blinding Lights came in to short priced favouritism, the year before it was She Wolf by Shakira.<\/p>\n In the most populous halftime show since Super Bowl 35 (a hit in our Halftime Hits & Misses post), Dr Dre is the favourite.<\/p>\n While we haven\u2019t seen major movement in this market (yet), it certainly seems like Dr Dre is going to be the one coming out on stage first and I\u2019ll jump on that before the market shifts.<\/p>\n Dr Dre @ $2.50<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Here you can double dip on the markets, especially if Dre is the one to come out first.<\/p>\n Sports Illustrated is reporting that Vegas is expecting The Next Episode to be the opening song of the Super Bowl halftime show (although listening to the lyrics we may not know what the song is considering how heavily NBC will have to censor it).<\/p>\n But with it being used a lot in the advertising clips for the show, it would make sense.<\/p>\n The Next Episode @ $1.85<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Were I planning the halftime show, California Love would be the leadoff song, but there\u2019s a very good reason why I\u2019m not organising things and instead sitting here writing about the betting odds.<\/p>\n I\u2019ll still back it at its current price since it is a California Super Bowl and it\u2019s a song about the state.<\/p>\n This also has strong potential to be the final song of the show as an homage to the location however I\u2019m thinking that may get reserved for All The Stars by Kendrick Lamar which also has strong collaboration potential.<\/p>\n California Love @ $2.50<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We saw Prince appear posthumously in Super Bowl LII via a projection on a sheet, but will Tupac make a guest appearance as a hologram?<\/p>\n It\u2019s happened before with Snoop Dogg at Coachella and we know money is no object for the NFL.<\/p>\n Perhaps the only obstacle is the fact they have five big name stars already, do they need another one?<\/p>\n I\u2019d say so.<\/p>\n Yes @ $2.75<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Whoever is operating the dump button at NBC is going to have the most stressful 12 minutes of their life during this halftime show.<\/p>\n Despite recording some of the most iconic songs of the last 30 years, these artists aren\u2019t exactly known for their family friendly lyrics.<\/p>\n Eminem having his audio cut at least once feels like one of the safer bets of the entire game.<\/p>\n Yes @ $1.55<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The man follows more NFL teams than LeBron James so he\u2019s definitely got some Rams gear to break out.<\/p>\n He may even go for the \u201cCasual Aussie NFL Fan\u201d look and wear a Rams shirt with a Bengals cap or something like that.<\/p>\n Yes @ $1.40<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Five artists, each with an extensive back catalogue?<\/p>\n Overs every day.<\/p>\n Over 8.5 Songs @ $1.30<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n They didn\u2019t put out all of this material showing the five superstars coming together in LA to not have them all performing at once.<\/p>\n Just about every time there are multiple headline acts they come together for one big song.<\/p>\n J-Lo and Shakira went for Waka Waka two years ago, Super Bowl XXXVIII saw Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake famously performing together as did Nelly and P. Diddy while Super Bowl XXXV saw Aerosmith, N*Sync, Britney Spears, Nelly, Mary J. Blige and a couple of ball kids perform Walk This Way.<\/p>\n Yes @ $2.50<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n When the Gatorade gets dumped on the winning coach, you know the game is over and done with.<\/p>\n Some years you will see a coach get it in the final two minutes as the clock is running out but only when the game is well in hand.<\/p>\n Given this postseason has been headlined by close finishes and games going right down to the wire, is there any chance the Super Bowl is decided before the final play?<\/p>\n No @ $2.25<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The popular options here are to back the prominent Gatorade colour closest to that of the two teams.<\/p>\n While they will be in their white away jersey, most would assume the Rams will go for the blue if they are victorious while the Bengals will take the orange.<\/p>\n I can never bring myself to back the favourite in this market so that does rule out orange and I like the value on the blue as it stands.<\/p>\n For a long shot though I\u2019ll also take purple Gatorade since it is far and away the worst flavour and if there is any on the sideline it will probably be untouched and plentiful.<\/p>\n Blue @ $4.50<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Purple @ $11.00<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n It might be a bit of a killjoy bet suggesting that Sean McVay or Zac Taylor will not be doused in sports drink as they celebrate a championship but there\u2019s a case to be made.<\/p>\n Going back over the last 20 years, we\u2019ve had four occasions where a coach has not been drenched.<\/p>\n The one thing those Super Bowls (36, 38, 47 & 51) all had in common is they were decided on the final play from scrimmage, sparking wild scenes of celebration, which made it damn hard to find the coach, especially carrying a Gatorade bucket.<\/p>\n If this one goes to the wire as expected, the coaches may avoid a drenching because they\u2019re too busy celebrating.<\/p>\n None @ $6.00<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Remember all of the other stuff The Simpsons have been able to get right?<\/p>\n Yeah take the odds here.<\/p>\n Bengals to defeat the Rams 34-31 @ $67<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n It\u2019s a bit of a boring play here but these guys are so well trained in saying absolutely nothing of substance, it\u2019s a two horse race between teammates and God.<\/p>\n You just know they will stick to the generic script and talk about their teammates for working together to get to where they are.<\/p>\n Just once it would be great to hear a guy break character and say, \u201cdamn right I\u2019m the MVP, I carried these losers all through the season and now look at me.\u201d<\/p>\n Teammates @ $1.75<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Even if you know nothing about the National Football League, you can still have a bit of fun with Super Bowl LVI on Monday.
