The Champions League quarter finals head into the second leg this week, as eight of Europe’s best sides are set to be cut to four!<\/p>\n

The action kicks-off on Wednesday morning as Chelsea loos to ram home its two goal advantage over Porto, while Bayern head to Paris hoping to foil PSG in consecutive European campaigns.<\/p>\n

Thursday’s action sees Liverpool attempt to pull off the biggest comeback since Daniel LaRusso delivered head kick to Johhny Lawrence in the The All Valley Karate Tournament in 1984!<\/p>\n

First Leg: Porto 0 – 2 Chelsea<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Blues are out to secure their first UCL semifinal appearance in seven years when they take on Porto at a neutral Stadium in Seville.<\/p>\n

Chelsea are in a commanding position after scoring two “away” goals past the Portuguese side last week, knowing they’ve only conceded two or more goals in a match once since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel (17 games).<\/p>\n

Porto have been defeated five times across their last seven meetings against English opposition, with every defeat resulting with a 2+ goal margin!<\/p>\n

With Porto forced to chase the game, I can see plenty of space opening up for the likes of Pulisic and Werner to put this tie beyond doubt.<\/p>\n

First Leg: Bayern 2 – 3 PSG<\/strong><\/p>\n

PSG are 90 minutes away from completing their revenge over their 2019\/20 UCL conquerers in Bayern Munich.<\/p>\n

The Parisians somehow survived a Bayern onslaught in the opening leg, with Navas completing more saves than the Bondi Rescue crew on New Years Day!<\/p>\n

The Costa Rican shot-stopper repelled strike after strike as the German giants were forced to settle on a return of two goals from 31 attempts!<\/p>\n

Along with three away goals, the Germans have 12 injuries to contend with, none more pivotal than Lewandowski, with Bayern winning just one of their three fixtures since the Polish striker went down.<\/p>\n

Despite everything being stacked against the German champs, the one thing that’s in their favour is they are coming up against perennial chokers, PSG!<\/p>\n

City head to Germany with a one goal advantage after a controversial finish to their opening leg in Manchester.<\/p>\n

Dortmund were incorrectly denied a second goal, with Ederson conning the ref into a blowing a foul before Jude Bellingham netted what was to be his maiden UCL goal.<\/p>\n

Despite this, City looked the better of the two outfits and have arguably been the form side across Europe’s top five leagues.<\/p>\n

The Sky Blues last away defeat came back in Nov 2020, since then they’ve gone onto win 16 of 18 fixtures on the road (2D), conceding just six times across the trip!<\/p>\n

Borussia won’t die wondering here, though I believe Man City will kill them off nonetheless!<\/p>\n

Real Madrid head to Anfield with an air of confidence after a convincing 3-1 victory over the Reds in Spain last week, followed by hard fought victory in the El Clasico!<\/p>\n

Liverpool have a history of pulling off miracles against Spanish powerhouses, coming back from a 3-0 deficit against Barca in the 2018\/19 UCL semi,<\/p>\n

“Corner taken quickly, ORIGI!!!” – Absolute scenes!<\/p>\n

Unfortunately the Reds are a shell of their former selves, lacking in form, confidence and pure man power.<\/p>\n

Real are on a tear at the minute, undefeated in their last 13 appearances (11W,2D) and looked to have pinpointed Liverpool’s defensive frailties in the opening leg (also known as Trent Alexander-Arnold).<\/p>\n

With Liverpool dropping points left, right and centre at Anfield, I can’t see them turning things around against on of the form sides in Europe.<\/p>\n
