For the first time since 2004\/05, neither Ronaldo nor Messi will feature in the UFEA Champions League Quarter Finals.<\/p>\n

Though the torch has been officially passed onto up-and-coming superstars such as Mbappe, Haaland, Vinicius Jr and Olivier Giroud!<\/p>\n

All jokes aside, there are four outstanding UCL quarter final fixtures to look forward to this week and we’ve previewed every one of them below!<\/p>\n

MAN CITY VS BORUSSIA DORTMUND<\/div>\n

City are looking to take a step towards their first Champions League Semi Final appearance since 2015\/16 when they take on Dortmund at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday morning (AEST).<\/p>\n

The visitors have won just once across their last five competitive fixtures, though they have not been shy in front of goal, finding the net in their last 27 outings.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Man City are have kept four clean sheets in a row and haven’t conceded a Champions League goal in 706 minutes!<\/p>\n

The Citizens are undefeated across their last 12 European home fixtures (11W,1D) and have only tasted defeat once since Nov 2020 (0-2 Man U).<\/p>\n

Pep’s side have scored within the first 20 minutes of their last three home fixtures and I’m backing them to get the jump on Dortmund early in this one!<\/p>\n

Liverpool are out to exercise some inner demons when they take to the field against the Galacticos in Madrid.<\/p>\n

The Reds have lost their last three fixtures against the Spanish giants, most recently in the 2018 UCL final, where Sergio Ramos broke Klopp’s ‘then’ favourite toy, Mo Salah.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, the Reds will not have to contend with Real’s captain, with Ramos set to miss the tie through injury.<\/p>\n

Despite this, Real Madrid bring decent form into this clash, undefeated across their last 11 competitive fixtures (9W,2D) and are to claim their fifth win on the bounce.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, Liverpool have lost six of their last 11 fixtures and occupying 7th place on the league table.<\/p>\n

Real have won their past six home fixtures and are at huge overs to make it seven here!<\/p>\n

Defending European champs Bayern Munich play host to the side they bettered in last year’s UCL Final.<\/p>\n

The French giants are still searching for their first ever Champions League trophy, having been bundled out at this stage of the comp in four of their last six attempts.<\/p>\n

Bayern will be without Robert Lewandowski, who is set to miss both ties with a knee injury, though with the likes of Coman, Sane, Muller, Gnabry and ex-PSG man Choupo-Moting the German champs have plenty of firepower to call on.<\/p>\n

Bayern are undefeated across their last 19 UCL matches (18W,1D) and are extremely appealing in the H2H market at just under evens.<\/p>\n

Prior to the weekend, Chelsea had been on an absolute tear under new manager Thomas Tuchel, undefeated in 14 appearances, while keeping clean sheets during 11 of those matches!<\/p>\n

Porto have lost four of their last six appearances against English outfits, and although they fought their way past Juve in the round of 16, they have their work cut out against the frugal game play of Tuchel’s Blues.<\/p>\n
