The Spring Racing Carnival hits fever pitch in Melbourne on Saturday for 2020 Caulfield Cup Day.<\/p>\n

Ten races rich will talent will be contested, headlined by the $5 million Caulfield Cup.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve run the rule over every race, and you can find my 2020 Caulfield Cup Day tips<\/strong> below.<\/p>\n

This is a reasonably tough way to begin Caulfield Cup Day from a betting perspective, but I\u2019ll be happy to have something on the third-up Skiddaw.<\/p>\n

Skiddaw returned to the races with a competitive effort to finish third over 1200m at Geelong, and he was just over three lengths from the winner at Flemington last time out.<\/p>\n

The 1700m should prove ideal, and I am keen to take on early favourite Power Scheme.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also eager to take on the favourite Rainbiel in Race 2, and Yes Baby Yes looks to be the one.<\/p>\n

She looked very good earlier this prep, winning a maiden at Seymour in utterly dominant fashion, and while Yes Baby Yes hasn\u2019t managed to run a place in four subsequent starts, they have all been at a far tougher grade.<\/p>\n

This is a genuine drop in class from her last-start sixth in the Group 2 Edward Manifold, and jockey Craig Williams has elected to stay aboard.<\/p>\n

Saltpeter has improved for two starts back from a spell, and the Gothic Stakes looks a nice bit of black type for him.<\/p>\n

The Pierro gelding recorded consecutive wins at Geelong and here at Caulfield in winter, but finished down the order in BM64 company when resuming at Bendigo.<\/p>\n

He was only a length from the winner over 1200m at The Valley last time out and I think that fitter third-up and the small rise in trip will suit.<\/p>\n

He has made just two appearances at the races so far, but Cetshwayo looks a quality galloper and he can win the Neds Classic<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Dundeel gelding finished midfield on debut at Geelong, but mustered an impressive turn of foot to score over 1800m at Flemington last time out.<\/p>\n

Breeding suggests that he\u2019ll relish the rise in trip, he\u2019ll only be better third-up and Jamie Kah rides from a good barrier \u2013 I can\u2019t find a reason why he won\u2019t be in the finish.<\/p>\n

Pensato has retuned to the races in slick form this time, and she can continue her rise through the grades in the Ethereal Stakes<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Godolphin-trained filly finished second over 1216m at Moe when resuming, filling the minors at her second campaign start before beating some good horses in the Oaks Trial at Flemington last time out.<\/p>\n

She shapes as a genuine Oaks contender and can tune up further with another good run in this race.<\/p>\n

Fituese simply doesn\u2019t know how to run a bad race, and she is the runner to beat in the Alinghi Stakes.<\/p>\n

The Deep Field mare has recorded six wins and a second placing from nine career starts so far, and returned to the races for an impressive win over the likes of Hilo and Masked Crusader at Rosehill Gardens.<\/p>\n

This is her first attempt at the Victorian way of going, but I think she\u2019ll just be too good for these rivals.<\/p>\n

There are few horses more effective over 1000m in Australian than Alfa Oro and the Caulfield Sprint<\/strong><\/a> looks the perfect race for him.<\/p>\n

Alfa Oro went to another level last preparation, winning each of his last four starts, and he picked up where he left off with a dominant win over 955m at The Valley.<\/p>\n

Matt Laurie elected to scratch the horse from the Schillaci Stakes last week to run here, and I think it will prove to be an ideal decision.<\/p>\n

Windstorm has been outstanding this preparation and the Neds Moonga Stakes looks another very winnable race for him.<\/p>\n

The Grant & Alana Williams-trained gelding won a few Saturday races in Perth prior to his trip east, and he has continued to improve with each since arriving.<\/p>\n

He broke back into the winner\u2019s stall with a lovely effort at this track and distance before saluting in the Listed Weekend Hussler last weekend, also at this track and distance.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s rock-hard fit and should be right in the finish again.<\/p>\n

Pretty Brazen has returned some bold efforts this preparation and she looks a winning chance in the Tristarc Stake<\/strong><\/a>s.<\/p>\n

The Brazen Beau mare won the Group 2 Let\u2019s Elope second-up this time, filling the minors behind Behemoth in the Neds Sir Rupert Clarke before a luckless effort in the Rose Of Kingston Stakes, last time out.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s rock-hard fit and at around the $5 mark, I\u2019m happy to give her another chance to win.<\/p>\n
