The Supercars Eseries returns for Round 8 tonight as the V8 drivers take a virtual trip across the pacific ocean to the Land of the Holy Cross, where they will race on the famous F1 track Interlagos.<\/p>\n

Interlagos formerly known as Aut\u00f3dromo Jos\u00e9 Carlos Pace<\/a> has been the home to the Brazilian Grand Prix since 197, the Sao Paulo track is famous for its undulating straights and is notoriously cruel to Formula One engines.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For the first time since round one, race one, the BP Supercars All Star Eseries has a new championship leader<\/a>, with Shane van Gisbergen leapfrogging Scott McLaughlin following a clinical display in round 7.<\/p>\n

To the casual observer the Eseries looks like a close contest between the two kiwi drives, but that is far from the truth in reality. <\/p>\n

Shane van Gisbergen seemly swallowed the red pill and uploaded himself into the matrix, the Red Bull Holden Racing Team driver is now seen everything in zeros and ones, untapping the true potential of his virtual car and bending tracks to his whim.\u00a0<\/p>\n

van Gisbergen flew through round seven <\/a>winning all three races and has now stood atop of the podium after five of the last seven races, while his closest rival McLaughlin hasn’t tasted victory since race 15!<\/p>\n

The V8 Supercars Eseries is Shane van Gisbergen’s virtual playground, everyone else is just playing on it.<\/p>\n
