MEN’S VOLLEYBALL: Russia Ural Regional League – University v Military<\/div>\n

Traditional rivals the University take on the Military in this afternoon’s Ural Regional League Men’s Volleyball action.<\/p>\n

At the time of publish, punters simply cannot split the two with both being at $1.87 in the head to head market.\u00a0<\/p>\n

University will be hurting having lost their most recent encounter to the Military 2-3 in a five-set epic.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Military, on the other hand, are in red-hot form having won their past four games but the team did look exhausted after University gave them a run for their money.<\/p>\n

While University will fancy themselves to put an end to the Military’s winning streak, it’s the discipline, planning and execution that they have that can see them win from any situation.<\/p>\n

The Military has been a good bet of recent and I expect that to continue in this afternoons game.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The weather in Perth has been good to me in a betting sense of late and I’m hoping to start the working week with Mother Nature bringing home the goods out West.<\/p>\n

The BOM has forecast for the West Australian capital today:<\/p>\n

“Cloudy. Medium (40%) chance of showers during this afternoon and evening. Winds northerly 15 to 20 km\/h turning westerly 25 to 35 km\/h in the middle of the day then decreasing to 15 to 25 km\/h in the late afternoon. Top of 23 degrees.”<\/p>\n

Not a perfect day for Perth standards, but if she can just a smidge over the expected 23-degree forecast we can find ourselves with yet another winner on the West Coast.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Much like the darts players, even the legends of the Chess scene are now working from home with Dutch icon of the sport Magnus Carlsen hosting his own invitational tournament.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The tournament, which is offering a grand prize of $250,000 US to the winner is bringing out some of the smartest wheelers, dealers and movers in what is most certainly a tournament of the minds.<\/p>\n

Eight players are participating in the tournament with four-game rapid matches with tie-breaks and games will be 15 minutes with 10 seconds per move.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If anything, playing Chess online is like playing ancient e-sports.<\/p>\n

The meeting between host Mangus Carlsen and 16-year-old Alireza Firouzja is one of the most highly anticipated of the tournament.<\/p>\n

Many in the Chess-World are asking – can Alireza continue the great form that saw him topple the almighty Magnus in the Banter Blitz Cup final?\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

This is very much a battle between Master and Apprentice but you can’t hold Magnus Carlsen back for too long.<\/p>\n

The action gets underway at Midnight tonight AEST.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Best to take the master – Magnus Carlsen to win the first game at $2.<\/p>\n
