    The Inglis Millennium is a lucrative $2 million feature for two-year-old Inglis graduates run and won in mid-February at Royal Randwick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The set weights event holds Restricted Listed status, the same as the Gold Coast’s $3 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic<\/a> in January for young Magic Millions graduates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The race was previously known as the Inglis Classic and inaugurated in 2015. It received a huge upgrade and overhaul ahead of the 2019 edition when it ran as the Inglis Millennium for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    From 2015-2018 it ran over 1200m before being reduced to the current 1100m distance in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Inglis Millennium is open only to two-year-old horses nominated for the Inglis Race Series<\/strong> that were offered for sale at any Inglis Yearling Sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Already the Inglis Millennium has been won by some quality juveniles including Castelvecchio (2019) who ran third in that autumn’s Group 1 Inglis Sires’<\/a> (1400m) before winning the Group 1 Champagne Stakes<\/a> (1600m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Castelvecchio also returned in the spring finishing runner-up in the 2019 Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) and Group 1 Cox Plate<\/a> (2040m). He further franked the Inglis Millennium form with a win in the next year’s Rosehill Guineas in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The best out of the race will continue onto the $4.96 million Golden Slipper<\/a> over the autumn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
