    The Queen Of The Turf Stakes (recently known as the Coolmore Legacy Stakes<\/strong>) is a 1600m mile showdown for fillies and mares held on Day 2 of Sydney’s ‘The Championships’ at Royal Randwick each April. Offering $1 million in prize money, the weight-for-age event offers a nice next-up option for runners out of the Group 1 Coolmore Classic<\/a> (1500m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Con Te Partiro (2020) and Zougotcha (2024) are the latest mares to complete the Coolmore Classic – Queen Of The Turf Stakes double<\/strong>, a popular punt during the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    First run in 1972, the event has been won by plenty of quality mares including More Joyous (2011-12) and Alizee (2018).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
