    The price on\u00a0Idle Flyer<\/strong>\u00a0to win the\u00a0Group 1 Queen of the Turf Stakes on April 11<\/strong>\u00a0has firmed from $13 into $7 following the impressive win by the Matthew Smith-trained mare in Saturday\u2019s\u00a02026 Emancipation Stakes results<\/strong>. Given a perfect ride by the flying Zac Lloyd, Idle Flyer surged through a gap inside the final furlong to run past her rivals and salute by three-quarters of a length in a terrific effort ahead of her elite level test over the Randwick mile next start.<\/p>\n\n\n

    Run over 1,500 metres each year in Sydney at Rosehill Gardens as part of the Tancred Stakes Day program, the Emancipation Stakes is a Group 2 race with a $300,000 prize purse as of 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The event is open only to fillies and mares and serves as a nice next-up option for female gallopers coming off a Group 1 Coolmore Classic<\/a> (1500m) run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The best out of the Emancipation Stakes often head to Randwick during ‘The Championships’ for a shot at the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes<\/a> (1600m) – recently known as the Coolmore Legacy Stakes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Emancipation Stakes winner earns a ballot exemption for the Queen Of The Turf Stakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Atishu (2nd in 2023) was the last Emancipation Stakes graduate to go on to win the Queen Of The Turf Stakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In 2022 the Emancipation Stakes winner Promise Of Success went on to frank the form in the spring winning the $2 million The Invitation<\/a> at Randwick that October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Tancred Stakes Day 2025 was called off on Saturday due to heavy rainfall with all 10 races, including the 2025 Emancipation Stakes, postponed until Tuesday April 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
