    Tom Kitten ($3.90)<\/strong>\u00a0raced his way into the Australian racing history books with a successful title defence in the\u00a02026 All-Star Mile results<\/strong>\u00a0at Flemington. Given a peach of a ride by Craig Williams, the Anthony & Sam Freedman-trained Godolphin galloper came from third on the turn to move up and narrowly edge out\u00a0Evaporate<\/strong>\u00a0(2nd) and the front-running\u00a0Pride Of Jenni<\/strong>\u00a0(3rd) for his historical second victory in the feature. The team are now looking at either the\u00a0Group 1 Australian Cup<\/strong>, for which he\u2019s the all-in favourite, on March 28 back at HQ or a more likely trip to Sydney for the\u00a0$4 million Doncaster Mile<\/strong>\u00a0on April 4 paying a generous $15 for him to win.<\/p>\n\n\n

    Victoria’s All-Star Mile race is a recently created multi-million dollar feature event contested during the annual Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    First run and won in 2019 with Mystic Journey the inaugural champion from Tasmania, the 1600m showdown began at Flemington Racecourse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In 2020 it was held at Caulfield with Perth champion Regal Power saluting, while the 2021 edition of The All-Star Mile was conducted at Moonee Valley Racecourse and won by the New South Wales-trained Mugatoo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The 2022 edition returned to its inaugural home at Flemington Racecourse and saw the favourite Zaaki salute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In 2023 the race moved back to Moonee Valley, The Valley the second course to host the event twice and was won by Mr Brightside who improved on a fourth in the race the year before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The 2024 The All-Star Mile was again hosted by Caulfield Racecourse for the second time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The now Group 1 race originally saw members of the Australian and New Zealand public vote for eligible horses to contest the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The voting system has since been removed with the All-Star Mile field featuring an expanded 16 runners in the weight-for-age event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The All-Star Mile prize money for 2024 was cut to $3,750,000 and in 2025 it is worth $2.5 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In 2026 the All-Star Mile prize money was cut to $2 million. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Pride Of Jenni won the 2024 All-Star Mile two starts before her record 6.5 length win in Sydney’s Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) that year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In October of 2024 the All-Star Mile officially gained Group 1 status ahead of the 2025 with Sydney’s $20 million The Everest<\/a> the other event upgraded to a Group 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In 2025 the All-Star Mile also produced that year’s Australian Cup<\/a> champion with the third placed Light Infantry Man improving to win the famous Flemington showdown at his next start. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In 2026, Tom Kitten successfully defended his title to become history’s only two-time All-Star Mile champion. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
