    The Group 1 All Aged Stakes is a 1400m weight-for-age race contested at Royal Randwick in mid-late April each Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The event is one of two final elite level features of the carnival run alongside the Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) for two-year-olds and is held on the Saturday following the coveted ‘The Championships’ race days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes<\/a> (1200m) held at the track a fortnight earlier is considered a key lead-up into the All Aged Stakes, but since Bentley Biscuit (2007) the only horse to do the double is Trapeze Artist (2018).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A time honoured classic having been run and won since 1865, the All Aged Stakes has been won by a host of turf stars over the years including three-time hero Ajax (1938-40) and champion mare Sunline (2000, 2002).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The 2023 All Aged Stakes saw Giga Kick, winner of the previous spring’s The Everest race<\/a>, become the first three-year-old champion since Trapeze Artist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Beiwacht (2026) was the last three-year-old All Aged Stakes winner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The 2025 All Aged Stakes has turned out to be a serious form reference, with Jimmysstar returning in the spring to run third in The Everest before claiming the $3 million Russell Balding Stakes<\/a> and the Group 1 CF Orr<\/a>. Runner\u2011up Joliestar also went on a tear, highlighted by her Group 1 Kingsford\u2011Smith Cup win in Brisbane, while Sunshine In Paris franked the race even further by taking out the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 at her very next start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Jimmysstar returned in 2026 attempting to go back-to-back but ran third to Beiwacht. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
