    Run over 1,100 metres in February, the Blue Diamond Prelude Fillies is a fantastic starting race for two-year-old fillies contested at Caulfield Racecourse on Rubiton Stakes Day in early February each Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Starting out as a Listed Race, this race has held Group 2 status since 2015 and currently offers $350,000 in prize money. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Blue Diamond Prelude Fillies, along with the Blue Diamond Prelude Colts & Geldings held on the same day, are key lead-ups into the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m)<\/a> held back at the track at the end of the month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In 2023 Godolphin and trainer James Cummings won both divisions of the Prelude races with Barber (colts and geldings) and Exploring (fillies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Hayasugi  (2024), Lyre (2019), Catchy (2017), Earthquake (2014), and Samaready (2012) are fillies to have recently completed the Prelude – Blue Diamond double<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In 2022 the Blue Diamond Prelude winning filly Revolutionary Miss finished second next-up in the Blue Diamond Stakes, and she also returned that spring for a second placing in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas<\/a> (1600m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Hayasugi (2024) is the latest filly to complete the Blue Diamond Preview – Blue Diamond Prelude – Blue Diamond Stakes<\/strong> treble<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
