    Run over 1,200 metres in early February, the Eskimo Prince Stakes attracts a quality line-up of three-year-old horses that may be heading towards the Group 1 Randwick Guineas<\/a> (1600m) later in the autumn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Kementari (2018) was the last horse to do the Eskimo Prince Stakes – Randwick Guineas double<\/strong> as a three-year-old. The 2022 Eskimo Prince Stakes third placed Converge improved on his Group 3 placing to win that year’s Randwick Guineas before a second in the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas<\/a> (2000m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Starting out as a Listed Race, this race was upgraded to Group 3 in 2015. The race has had a varied history of being held at several racecourses, such as Canterbury Park, Rosehill Gardens, Randwick and Warwick Farm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The 2020 Eskimo Prince Stakes was abandoned and not rescheduled with the Warwick Farm race program cancelled due to heavy rainfall and the state of the track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For 2021 edition, the event took place back at Royal Randwick Racecourse for the first time since 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The 2025 Eskimo Prince Stakes produced that year’s Randwick Guineas winner with Linebacker improving on a second in the Eskimo Prince. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The 2026 Eskimo Prince Stakes winner Tempted saluted for the punters fresh in her first start since running second to Hong Kong hero Ka Ying Rising in the previous spring\u2019s $20 million The Everest race<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
