    The Ottawa Stakes is a Group 3 race for two-year-old fillies currently held at Flemington Racecourse on The All-Star Mile Day in early March during the Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Up until 2023 inclusive, it ran on the first Thursday in November as part of the VRC Oaks Day card in Melbourne. There was no 2024 event before it moved to the autumn for the first time in 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This race has been run under many different names, owing to frequent change of sponsor. Some of these names include \u201c7 News Stakes\u201d, \u201cEmirates Airplane Plate\u201d, \u201cSchiavello Stakes\u201d and the “Bumble Stakes”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Fillies may come into the now autumn run Ottawa Stakes race via an earlier lead-up in the juvenile features including Caulfield’s Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes <\/a>in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
