    Bjorn Baker\u2019s Doncaster Mile winning mare\u00a0Stefi Magnetica\u00a0<\/strong>($3.90) returned to form in style thanks to a peach of a ride from Jason Collett to head the\u00a02025 The Invitation results\u00a0<\/strong>Randwick. Coming from well back in the field with a big run down the outside, she delivered a thrilling late burst to claim the $2 million feature showing off her class to take her career earnings up over $7 million.<\/p>\n\n

    The Invitation is a recent addition to the lucrative The Everest Carnival in Sydney during the spring. The $2 million Special Condition event for fillies and mares took place for the first time in 2021 and was won by the Brad Widdup-trained Icebath.<\/p>\n

    The Invitation officially gained Group 2 status in 2024 the same year the $20 million The Everest<\/a> became a Group 1 event.<\/p>\n

    The set weights plus penalties showdown runs alongside the $2 million Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) and the new look Group 2 $1 million Callander-Presnell (1600m) – a race formerly known as the Stan Fox Stakes that now replaces the defunct Bondi Stakes – in late October on the same day Melbourne hosts the $6 million W.S. Cox Plate<\/a> (2040m).<\/p>\n

    Run over 1400m, The Invitation race features 12 fillies and mares exclusively invited to take part in the event by a panel selected by Racing NSW officials.<\/p>\n

    The form out of the first running of The Invitation was franked in 2021 with the winning mare Icebath racing second next start in the Group 1 Kennedy Cantala (1600m) at Flemington \u2013 an event now run as the Champions Mile<\/a>. She also returned in the autumn of 2022 to finish third in both the Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) and Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) during an excellent campaign.<\/p>\n

    The 2021 The Invitation runner-up Rocha Clock further franked the form finishing second at her next run in the $500,000 Hot Danish Stakes (1400m), while the third placegetter Forbidden Love came back in 2022 to win both the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes and the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes the next autumn.<\/p>\n

    Belclare (2024) was the last mare to complete\u00a0The Invitation \u2013 Hot Danish Stakes double<\/strong>, while Magic Time ran second in both events that year.<\/p>\n

    The 2025 The Invitation race was won by the autumn’s Doncaster Mile<\/a> winning mare Stefi Magnetica.<\/p>\n
