    \"Gimcrack<\/p>\n

    The Gimcrack Stakes is a Group 3 race contested over 1000m at Royal Randwick in late September or early October as part of the bumper Epsom Handicap Day card during the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Open only to two-year-old fillies, the Gimcrack Stakes is run at set weights and offers $250,000 in prize money.<\/p>\n

    Many young fillies are on debut in the Gimcrack Stakes field, which can serve as a nice lead-up into bigger events such as the following January’s $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic<\/a> (1200m) on the Gold Coast in Queensland.<\/p>\n

    In 2019, Stellar Pauline ran second in the Gimcrack Stakes and also placed second in the 2020 Magic Millions Classic, while the 2022 Gimcrack Stakes winner Platinum Jubilee also was runner-up in the following summer’s Magic Millions Classic results.<\/p>\n

    The 2023 Gimcrack Stakes winner Manaal franked the form the following autumn with a host of good runs including her Group 1 Inglis Sires’<\/strong> <\/a>victory in 2024.<\/p>\n

    O’Ole (2nd in the 2024 Gimcrack) was the last out of the race to go on and win the following summer’s $3 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic in 2025.<\/p>\n
