The Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes is a set weights race for three-year-old fillies contested over 1400m at Royal Randwick Racecourse in mid-September.<\/p>\n

Held as part of The Shorts Day card in Sydney, the Tea Rose Stakes offers $300,000 in prize money and is a key lead-up into the Group 1 Flight Stakes<\/a> (1600m) held back at the track over a mile a fortnight later. Zougotcha (2022) was the last filly to complete the Tea Rose Stakes – Flight Stakes double<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Flight Stakes is the grand final of Sydney’s Princess Series<\/strong>, of which the Tea Rose Stakes is the third leg following on from the Silver Shadow Stakes and Furious Stakes.<\/p>\n

In 2020 Dame Giselle made it a hat-trick of wins in the series taking out the Silver Shadow – Furious Stakes – Tea Rose triple.<\/p>\n

The 2023 Flight Stakes winner also came via the Tea Rose Stakes with Tropical Squall improving on her lead-up third in the Group 2.<\/p>\n

In 2025 Apocalyptic completed the Furious Stakes – Tea Rose Stakes double.<\/p>\n
