    \"Sunshine<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    Run over 1,600 metres, the event formerly known as the Sunshine Coast Guineas is a Group 3 race taking place at Corbould Park Racecourse on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast each winter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In 2020 the race was renamed the Winx Guineas in honour of its most iconic winner, superstar mare Winx who won the race as a three-year-old in 2015. It is the second race named after the champion four-time Cox Plate<\/a> winner along with the Group 1 Winx Stakes<\/a> that opens elite level racing in August each season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The race is open to three-year-olds and takes place at set weights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For the 2020 edition the Winx Guineas offered a reduced $125,000 in prize money due to the affects of the COVID-19 pandemic on Australian racing. It received a prize money boost in 2021 and is now worth $300,000 as of 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
