With Tim Clark dictating terms from the jump, she travelled comfortably in front before producing a sharp late kick to fend off the closing challenge of Miss Chanel.     Run in late January or early February at Rosehill Racecourse in Sydney, the Widden Stakes serves as a great launchpad for two-year-old fillies. A Group 3 showdown run at wet weights with penalties, the Widden Stakes makes a nice next-up options for young fillies out of the Gimcrack Stakes held the previous October. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Widden Stakes serves as a good early lead-up for fillies eyeing a run in the world’s richest race for two-year-olds, the Group 1 $4.96 million Golden Slipper Stakes<\/a> (1200m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Overreach (2013), Mossfun (2014), and Lady Of Camelot (2024) are the only fillies to have completed the Widden Stakes – Golden Slipper double<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In 2020 Away Game came close, the Magic Millions 2YO Classic<\/a> winning filly taking out the Widden before her Blue Diamond fourth in Melbourne and second in Sydney’s Golden Slipper Stakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The 2022 Widden Stakes form was franked with the second placegetter Revolutionary Miss backing up in Melbourne’s Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies) for a next-up victory before finishing runner-up in the Blue Diamond Stakes results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    She also returned in the spring and placed second in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas<\/a> (1600m) that October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The 2023 Widden Stakes winner Learning To Fly franked the form at her next two starts winning the $2 million Inglis Millennium<\/a> followed by the Group 2 Reisling Stakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After finishing second in the 2025 Widden Stakes, Tempted emphatically franked the form during a dominant autumn. She secured victories in both the Group 2 Reisling Stakes and the Percy Sykes, while also claiming a gallant third in the Golden Slipper. Her momentum carried into a massive spring campaign, where she placed third in the Golden Rose before finishing runner-up to Ka Ying Rising in the world\u2019s richest turf race\u2014the $20 million The Everest<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
