Previously known as the Doomben Roses<\/strong> up until 2009, The Roses is a Group 2 race for three-year-old fillies held as part of the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival in either late May or early June. The race is currently worth $300,000 with prize money increased ahead of the 2023 edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Roses is run over 2000m and is a key lead-up to the Group 1 Queensland Oaks<\/a> with the double last completed by Scarlett Lady (2011) and Youngstar (2018). The Doomben Roses is traditionally run and won at Doomben Racecourse as part of Doomben Cup Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
