The son of Maurice secured his second career Group 1 victory and continued an outstanding spring campaign that included earlier wins in the Bletchingly Stakes and P.B. Lawrence Stakes. The emphatic success cemented Cosmic Crusader as a major player in the Melbourne Spring Carnival, with bookmakers at Neds shortening him significantly in Cox Plate betting from $26 into $8<\/a><\/strong> following the win.
