Daily Dogs – Thursday, November 21

THE GARDENS: Race 1 (1:54pm)
No. 6 The Devil We Know

Devil We Know has just had the two starts and has been the runner up on both occasions.

The daughter of Aston Rupee kicked off over the 431m at Gunnedah where she was slightly slow away but chased hard to get within .3 of a length of the winner.

Last time, she stepped out over this track and trip and again finished off strongly but just found one better on the day.

She looks an improving type and I think she’ll be hard to beat.

THE GARDENS: Race 2 (2:17pm)
No. 1 Likeable Rogue

Likeable Rogue is racing in top form and looks ideally placed here off the inside draw.

He made it back to wins here last month and has been placed in three subsequent starts.

The experienced chaser loves it over this track and distance, he’s a seven-time winner out of box one and I think he can add to that tally this afternoon.

THE GARDENS: Race 4 (3:09pm)
No. 8 Sweet Street

Sweet Street has proven too slick at her past two outings and will look to make it three straight.

Only lightly raced, the talented youngster has yet to miss the frame in five career starts and just keeps improving.

Her two wins have seen her charge across from box eight and street away and with the outside draw again, she’ll be very hard to catch.

THE GARDENS: Race 7 (4:05pm)
No. 8 Jasper Darke

Jasper Darke kicked off his career in fine style and looks to have a bright future.

Making his debut over the 400m here on Saturday, he copped a few bumps early on but showed plenty of heart to charge to the lead and kick away to score by two and a half lengths.

I think the outside draw will suit and his time suggests he can make it back to back victories.

Daily Dogs – Tuesday, November 19

Horsham: Race 2 (3:14pm)
No. 8 Zipping Tamika

Zipping Tamika has drawn wide again, similar to her maiden win two back over the track and trip.

The daughter of Aston Rupee didn’t have the best of luck from an inside box last start, but this does set up as a more winnable assignment if she can get back and run her race off the speed.

With that maiden win coming in 23.51 seconds, it’s no real surprise to find her short in the market.

Horsham: Race 4 (3:54pm)
No. 6 Paw Nicholls

Paw Nicholls was the beaten favourite last start at Ballarat where she was gunned down late up on the speed.

She’ll probably appreciate getting out slightly in trip now, especially from a more suitable wide alley.

Likely to race up on the speed in a contest that should feature plenty of early tempo, she’s more than capable of bouncing back.

Horsham: Race 8 (5:14pm)
No. 2 City Limit

City Limit got his first look at this track last start where he was the beaten favourite over the same journey.

The son of Over Limit was beaten a length second from wider out, but this looks a more winnable assignment with two wins from as many starts from Box 2.

With improvement to come, he should be piling on plenty of pressure mid-race.

Horsham: Race 9 (5:34pm)
No. 1 Varisty Bale

Varsity Bale can get right back off the speed from the inside gate and save his best for late.

His win last week at Geelong was impressive, storming home late to go a length clear over much further from a middle box.

Back to 410m where he’s won on several occasions, this boy looks one of the main contenders in a deep race.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Sunday 17th November

Albion Park: Race 5 (8:05pm AEDT)
No. 5 Perky Penny

Perky Penny copped a check and was spat out the back to play no further part last start.

The daughter of Aussie Infrared had been in super form prior to that having won three in a row, all over this course and distance.

She has the speed to lead from box 5 and if she races up to her best of 19.14 seconds, they probably won’t get near her.

Albion Park: Race 7 (8:44pm AEDT)
No. 3 Maroney

Maroney is chasing three wins in a row and is well placed to do so.

The son of Magic Sprite has broken 19 seconds in both those wins over this course and distance with the first of them being from this box when he clocked a personal best of 18.83 seconds.

He can clear the two dogs drawn to his inside and prove hard to run down.

Albion Park: Race 8 (9:05pm AEDT)
No. 7 Johnny Koala

Johnny Koala has returned from a long break in great form.

The Jemma Daley-trained dog was narrowly beaten by Let Jill Rip first-up over this course and distance.

With the benefit of a run under his belt, he scorched the Albion Park sand last start when leading all the way in 18.85 seconds.

With increased fitness and a clear run from box 7, he can go back-to-back.

Albion Park: Race 10 (9:45pm AEDT)
No. 6 Stylish Look

Stylish Look recorded a personal best of 19.07 seconds over this course and distance from this box when finishing a narrow second last start.

The Sandra Hunt-trained dog has an excellent record here including a strong win five starts back in 19.18 seconds.

His best times are clearly good enough to win this and just needs to repeat those efforts.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Saturday 16th November

The Meadows: Race 3 (7:12pm AEDT)
No. 1 Marrakesh

Marrakesh has started her career in blistering fashion with two wins and two placings from her four starts.

The daughter of Fernando Bale had her first look at this course and distance last start and handled it beautifully, dashing clear for a five-length win in 29.98 seconds.

She’s ideally drawn in box 1 and should burn her rivals off early and go all the way.

The Meadows: Race 6 (8:10pm AEDT)
No. 4 Zipping Kai

Zipping Kai enters this race in cracking form having won two of her past three starts.

Three starts back the Thomas Dailly-trained bitch recorded a best of the night 34.07 seconds when leading all the way over 595m at Sandown Park.

She was ultra-impressive last start when taking out the G1 Hume Cup in a slick 34.19 seconds.

As long as she’s close coming out of the first bend then she should prove too powerful late for them.

The Meadows: Race 7 (8:28pm AEDT)
No. 8 West Star

West Star looks well placed here dropping back in class.

The son of Fernando Bale was beaten narrowly in his heat of the Hume Cup before returning in the final last week where he produced a super effort to finish third in 34.49 seconds.

He has the speed to find the front from box 8 and if that’s the case then he’ll be hard to beat.

The Meadows: Race 9 (9:06pm AEDT)
No. 1 Raven Peter

Raven Peter looks awfully hard to beat here based on his last start effort over this course and distance.

The son of Aston Rupee flew out of the lids and went all the way to win by 11 lengths in 29.86 seconds.

From box 1 he should get on the arm early and give them something to catch.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Friday November 15

Sandown Park: Race 5 (8:27pm AEDT)
No. 1 Joey The Jet

Joey The Jet can bounce back following two luckless races where he worked home strongly to place.

The Jason Thompson-trained dog was low flying before that with wins in each of his first five career starts.

In four of those five wins, he registered the quickest time of the night signaling he had star potential.

He’s well drawn in box 1 and if he gets on the arm, he’ll take some catching.

Sandown Park: Race 7 (9:08pm AEDT)
No. 1 Power And Glory

Power And Glory is a talented New South Wales chaser who is having his first look at Sandown Park.

The son of Hooked On Scotch returned to the winner’s kennel last start over 520m at Wentworth Park where he clocked a personal best of 29.33 seconds.

He’s ideally drawn in box 1 and should lead for fun and if that’s the case, he should run serious time.

Sandown Park: Race 8 (9:27pm AEDT)
No. 8 Pass The Buck

Pass The Buck scorched the Warragul sand over 460m last start when winning by eight lengths in a best of the night 25.64 seconds.

The Anthony Azzopardi-trained dog returns to Sandown for the first time since leading all the way over this course and distance five starts back in a personal best of 29.31 seconds.

He’s won two of three when wearing the pink rug and should be able to build momentum down the outside before crossing into the first bend.

Sandown Park: Race 9 (9:50pm AEDT)
No. 3 Big Energy

Big Energy is back to his best and is looking for three wins in a row and back-to-back G3 Shootouts.

The son of Aussie Infrared produced a scintillating performance over this course and distance last start when winning by a massive 11 lengths in 28.99 seconds.

He loves this course and distance and has run sub 29 seconds on four occasions.

He’s ideally suited to this format with vacant boxes either side of him.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Thursday, 14th November

Albion Park: Race 3 (8:10pm AEDT)
No. 8 Valpolicella

Valpolicella returns to Queensland after finishing fourth in the G1 Top Gun Stayers Final at The Meadows.

The Tony Zammit-trained bitch is Queensland’s best stayer and proved that in August when winning the Queensland Distance Championship Final in 42.55 seconds.

In June she clocked a personal best time of 41.55 seconds over this course and distance when taking out a heat of the Queensland Cup.

She’s the class runner in the field and should prove it.

Albion Park: Race 4 (8:31pm AEDT)
No. 2 Dalwhinnie

Dalwhinnie looks awfully hard to beat in the opening heat of the Rising Stars series.

Hailing from New South Wales, the daughter of Aston Dee Bee has been low flying at Wentworth Park and is looking for her third win in a row.

Two starts back she broke the 520m track record when scorching the sand in 29.03 seconds, smashing her rivals by 13 lengths.

That was recorded when exiting box 2, as she does here, and I’d expect her to get on the arm and go all the way.

Albion Park: Race 5 (8:52pm AEDT)
No. 8 Autumn Storm

Autumn Storm returns to Albion Park following a successful G1 Ipswich Cup campaign.

The Tom Tzouvelis-trained bitch won her heat in 30.32 seconds before leading all the way in the final to win in 30.16 seconds.

She’s run sub 30 seconds over this course and distance several times including five starts ago when winning in 29.99 seconds.

She has the speed to cross from box 8 and has won two from four when wearing the pink rug.

Albion Park: Race 6 (9:13pm AEDT)
No. 2 Wreck James

Wreck James tasted defeat for the first time last start when not having a lot of luck from box 8 at Ipswich.

He’s since been freshened but prior to that the Darren ‘D-Russ’ Russell-trained dog had won his first three starts.

He’s two from two over the course and distance including a personal best of 29.90 seconds three starts ago and a win in the Dave Brett Memorial Final two starts back.

From box 2 he can find the front and be hard to toss.

Daily Dogs – Wednesday, 13th November

The Meadows: Race 5 (8:11pm AEDT)
No. 4 Livable

Livable will appreciate dropping in class and distance after weakening over 730m here in her past two starts.

The Jeff Britton-trained bitch led all the way over 715m at Sandown three starts ago when winning in a best of the night 42.32 seconds.

However, she’s much better suited over this distance as shown by her record of three wins and four placings from nine starts including a slick personal best of 34.53 seconds.

She has the speed to find the front and prove hard to catch.

The Meadows: Race 6 (8:31pm AEDT)
No. 6 Paw Bodhi

Paw Bodhi enters this race looking for her third win in a row after two impressive Sandown wins.

The daughter of Allen Deed won over 595m two starts back in a slick 34.16 seconds before leading all the way last start in a best of the night 34.22 seconds.

She’s only had two starts over this course and distance and recorded her best time of 34.72 seconds in a tougher race when not having a great run from box 8.

She looks a class above and just needs to repeat that time to be giving this a shake.

The Meadows: Race 11 (10:18pm AEDT)
No. 1 Tara’s Lily

Tara’s Lily has plenty of ability and may be ready to show it on a regular basis.

The daughter of Barcia Bale finished runner-up in back-to-back races in slick times at Ballarat and Sandown before producing a career best last start over this course and distance.

She got a clear run from box 2 and was able to scorch the sand in 29.99 seconds.

She draws beautifully in the cherry and looks tough to beat.

The Meadows: Race 12 (10:37pm AEDT)
No. 4 Mackinaw Peach

Mackinaw Peach is chasing her third win in a row and looks to have a class edge over her rivals.

The Jeff Britton-trained bitch recorded a best of the night 29.90 seconds when winning over 520m at Geelong two starts ago.

Last start she proved too strong when bolting in by 4.75 lengths in 29.92 seconds over this course and distance.

She defeated Honey Zen that night and it’s hard to see that dog turning the tables.

Daily Dogs – Sunday, November 10

ALBION PARK: Race 4 (6:24pm)
No. 2 Nature Nose

Nature Nose is racing well and boasts a tidy record over this track and distance.

She was too slick for them off the rails draw three runs back but her past two runs have seen her course wide off box five and finish off strongly.

With even luck off the low draw tonight, she should prove too slick for them.

ALBION PARK: Race 5 (6:41pm)
No. 2 Cousin Henry

Cousin Henry has been the runner up at his past two starts and I think he go one better here.

The super consistent youngster has only missed the frame once in nine career starts and he was strong to the line last time off the inside box.

He draws well and if can produce his best, he’ll be hard to beat.

ALBION PARK: Race 8 (7:37pm)
No. 2 Nicholasville

Nicholasville is in top form and looks to have a bright future ahead.

Only lightly raced, the son of My Redeemer has now won four of his seven starts and I think he can add to that tally tonight.

Striking trouble at Ipswich two starts back he bounced back with a strong win here last time and looks well placed to repeat that.

ALBION PARK: Race 11 (8:39pm)
No. 2 Long Cool Sally

Long Cool Sally has found form and will look to make it three on the bounce.

She recorded a strong win at Capalaba back in September and given a break, she resumed with a gutsy effort to score over this track and distance two weeks ago.

With even luck, I think she can continue on her winning way.

Daily Dogs – Saturday, November 9

THE GARDENS: Race 1 (5:47pm)
No. 4 Fascinate Vern

There was a lot to like about the debut performance of Fascinate Vern.

Over this track and trip the son of Feral Franky showed good early speed and chased hard to finish a length away in second, clocking slick time in doing so.

He’ll be better for the experience and I think he can go one better here.

best bet
THE GARDENS: Race 5 (7:21pm)
No. 3 Three Gems

Three Gems has taken all before her in recent months and looks set to continue on her winning way.

The highly talented chaser had her first go out to 515m two runs back and once again proved superior as she powered away to score by 4.8 lengths.

She was even better again last time, in a league of her own, she raced away to score by 7.

She lines up here looking for her eighth straight win and it’s hard to see anything upstaging her.

THE GARDENS: Race 9 (8:44pm)
No. 6 Family Crest

Family Crest is shooting for four straight wins and looks well placed to do so.

The Aston Rupee youngster was very impressive when charging late off a slow start two back and last time, from the inside draw, she shot straight to front and powered away to score by over 11 lengths.

She’s very smart and looks the one to beat.

THE GARDENS: Race 10 (9:05pm)
No. 3 Solar Rush

Solar Rush has just had the four career starts and is putting together a very tidy record.

The runner up at his first two outings, he’s improved with each run and is now looking to make it three wins on the bounce.

His latest victory saw him fly the boxes and he never looked in doubt as he sped away to post 6.5 length margin.

Daily Dogs – Friday, November 8

THE GARDENS: Race 1 (1:42pm)
No. 2 Odd Socks

Two Odd Socks has just had the three starts and has been the runner up at his past two.

He just found one better when stepping out over the 340m at Gunnedah at his second career outing and last start, he chased strongly off a slow start and whilst he couldn’t reel in the short priced favourite, he had the rest covered.

If he jumps away clean, he should prove hard to beat.

THE GARDENS: Race 2 (1:57pm)
No. 1 Lakeview Vincent

Lakeview Vincent is in sparkling form having won three of his past five starts and he looks well placed to add to that tally.

The son of Fernando Bale proved too slick for them last time, shooting straight the lead and he never looked in doubt.

He’s four from four over this course and distance and from the inside box, I think he’ll keep that perfect record intact.

THE GARDENS: Race 7 (3:44pm)
No. 1 Fascinate Glory

Fascinate Glory won well here two runs back, taking up the running and showing a good kick to score comfortably.

After finding the lead off the wide draw last time, she tried hard and was only just collared in the final bounds.

She’s racing well and does boast a terrific record off the inside box.

She gets that tonight and I think she’ll prove too slick for them.

THE GARDENS: Race 10 (4:52pm)
No. 4 Dreamtime Dolly

Dreamtime Dolly made it back to back wins but was never in the hunt last time when striking trouble early off the outside box.

Only lightly raced having had the five starts she’s still learning but certainly looks to have plenty of upside.

She draws in lower this time and with a clean start, she can bounce back.
