Daily Greyhound Tips – Tuesday, March 4

Gosford: Race 5 8:30pm AEDT
No. 5 Gambino

Gambino has a tricky draw to overcome but enters this Fifth Grade race at Gosford in great form.

The James Porter-trained dog is looking for his third win in a row after winning his past two starts over this course and distance in 22.36 seconds and 22.45 seconds.

He boasts five wins and three placings from 10 starts over the track and trip including once from the squeeze box last year.

With even luck he can prove hard to beat.

best bet
Gosford: Race 6 8:50pm AEDT
No. 7 Zipping Chaplin

Zipping Chaplin rises back to this distance after finishing third in the G2 Richmond Derby Final last start.

The son of Feral Franky boasts a terrific record over this course and distance of three wins from four races.

The most recent of these came just three starts ago where he recovered from a slow start to charge home and win the Summer 600 Final in a slick 34.18 seconds and defeat Gets Late Early.

The small field and vacant box to his inside suits and I expect him to be taking this out as my best bet at Gosford tonight.

Gosford: Race 8 9:38pm AEDT
No. 7 Where’s Nanny

Where’s Nanny found the line well over 515m at The Gardens to finish a close second last start.

The Fernando Bale chaser races well over this course and distance and was an impressive winner here three starts back when winning in 29.49 seconds.

On that occasion, he showed excellent speed to cross the field and lead into the first turn before dashing clear to put five lengths on his rivals.

A repeat of that 4.46 second first sectional should see him fighting for the win.

Gosford: Race 9 9:58pm AEDT
No. 6 Zip Out Zipper

Zip Out Zipper looks tough to beat here.

The daughter of Feral Franky returns to Gosford after clocking a best of the night 22.61 seconds when winning over 400m at The Gardens last start.

Three starts back she went within 0.2 seconds of breaking the track record when leading all the way over this course and distance in 21.89 seconds.

I expect her to cross this field from box 6 and get on the arm.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Sunday, March 2

Sale: Race 3 (5:32pm)
No. 6 Paw Nevada

Paw Nevada was beaten by the barest of margins from an identical draw last week at Warragul. He was seen doing his best work over his final few strides and looks ready to handle this slight rise in trip. With good early tempo engaged, he appers well placed to hand in a similar effort.

Sale: Race 5 (6:10pm)
No. 2 Paw Illabo

Paw Illabo has her sights set on a hat trick following last week’s dominant win at Bendigo by 4.8 lengths. She’s won and placed over this track and distance in the past, her best coming in a nice time of 24.59 seconds.

Sale: Race 8 (7:04pm)
No. 6 Who Me

Who Me is two-from-three over this track and journey, his best coming in a slick time of 28.79 seconds – by far the fastest in this field. Forgive last week’s effort at Shepparton over shorter, this rise in trip should be ideal for him from a wider alley.

each way
Sale: Race 10 (7:39pm)
No. 7 Blue Falcon

Blue Falcon is a multiple winner over 435m who has serious each way claims in an open race. The son of Sennachie has been given a good gap between runs after finishing second over a touch shorter at Warragul earlier in the month. With four wins to his name from Box 7, he should be fighting out the finish with the ride run coming off the speed.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Saturday, March 1

The Meadows: Race 2 (5:32pm)
No. 1 Doongalla Jessie

Doongalla Jessie relished the inside box last week at Horsham, winning for a second time by a massive 5.5 length margin. She carved out a nice time in the process and looks ready for the rise back out beyond 500m now in her Meadows debut.

The Meadows: Race 4 (6:19pm)
No. 2 Pete’s Entity

Pete’s Entity could be in for a big prep if his first-up win over shorter at Warrnambool was anything to go by. The son of Aston Dee Bee rolled forward and gave nothing else a chance, a run that indicated he might be wanting further. Having drawn another inside box, he’ll take catching if he establishes a spot up on the speed.

The Meadows: Race 6 (7:02pm)
No. 6 Orli Bale

Orli Bale should be racing with confidence following last week’s impressive heat win. A multiple winner from Box 6, his class should take him a long way here having competed in tougher races than this. Providing he gets away cleanly and lands close to the front, he’ll be one of the hardest to run down.

The Meadows: Race 9 (8:04pm)
No. 4 Aston Guitar

Aston Guitar can land on the bunny and give nothing else a chance if he produces his best. The son of Hooked On Scotch is undefeated in four starts this prep, last seen winning by 2.7 lengths at Shepparton in a mixed event over shorter.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Friday, February 28

Horsham: Race 5 (7:12pm)
No. 6 Paw Vortex

Paw Vortex can settle midfield and save his best for the finish with a vacant box next door. The son of Bernado won by a length two back at The Meadows and was far from disgraced in last week’s Rookie Rebel Final. This is a serious drop back in trip, but it’s a much easier race overall.

Horsham: Race 7 (7:53pm)
No. 2 Amron Tiger

Amron Tiger is a multiple winner from Box 2. He’s hoping to improve on a solid run last week at The Meadows where he was a distant runner up in the Aus Cup Consolation race. Back slightly in distance again, he’ll be hard to hold out.

Horsham: Race 8 (8:12pm)
No. 4 Flying Zulu

Flying Zulu is a previous track and distance winner who should find this a tad easier after contesting the Australian Cup last week. He maps to settle just off the speed from the middle box and should be afforded plenty of running room.

Horsham: Race 9 (8:31pm)
No. 1 Axel’s Radar

Axel’s Radar drops in class and has come up trumps with Box 1. He’s found the money twice from three starts over this track and distance and is likely to stalk the speed once lids fly.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Thursday, February 27

best bet
Wentworth Park: Race 3 (6:40pm)
No. 2 Zipping Serano

Zipping Serano is a multiple track and distance winner who is ideally drawn in Box 2. She was a strong winner here four back and was unsuited by the middle box in a tricky heat race at Richmond last week. Capable of rolling forward early and landing on the speed, she’s at least a place chance.

Wentworth Park: Race 5 (7:19pm)
No. 7 Zipping Mayer

Zipping Mayer is looking to improve on two recent place efforts at Richmond and Nowra. The daughter of Zipping Garth has won on multiple occasions from Box 7 and maps to get a tidy run off the speed.

Wentworth Park: Race 8 (8:19pm)
No. 7 Epic Story

Epic Story goes around on a quick backup after placing at Maitland last week. He’s run some nice races from wide alleys in the past to go with some solid form over the 520m trip.

Wentworth Park: Race 9 (8:42pm)
No. 2 Zig Zag Man

Zig Zag Man goes well from Box 2 and is worth forgiving on his latest effort from wider out. The son of Fernando Bale owns a speedy 29.37 track/distance time and rates as one of the leading contenders if he can settle midfield.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Wednesday, February 26

The Meadows: Race 3 (6:43pm)
No. 4 Just Got Paid

Just Got Paid is likely to start short odds after winning over the track and trip last week in a nice time of 30.03 seconds. There’s still improvement to come second-up and he’ll just need early luck in running from the middle box.

The Meadows: Race 5 (7:23pm)
No. 4 Aston Botan

Aston Botan has twice placed over the 600m trip and was crying out for longer when missing out on the money last week in a tougher race at Sandown. With good early speed on paper, he should look to land right on the bunny and run his race up front.

The Meadows: Race 7 (7:59pm)
No. 8 Uriel Bale

Uriel Bale can ping the lids early and land right on the speed from out wide. He won by close to a length from the same draw here at The Meadows last month and should be racing with confidence after returning to the winner’s circle last week at Sandown.

each way
The Meadows: Race 8 (8:18pm)
No. 6 Caruggi

Caruggi rates a decent each-way play here based on recent performances. The son of Feral Franky was a strong winner here over the course and distance three back, before working into the money again last week. Drawn wide and likely to get back off the speed, he just needs a touch of luck to figure.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Tuesday, February 25

Geelong: Race 4 (6:29pm)
No. 6 Mr Frankie Lee

Mr Frankie Lee arrived over his final few strides for a narrow win over shorter at Healesville last week. A multiple winner over 400m and proven from Box 6, he should be hard to beat if he gets the right run off the speed.

each way
Geelong: Race 6 (7:13pm)
No. 7 She’s On Boost

She’s On Boost loves racing from out wide and maps to get back early in the run. She is winless from 16 starts over this journey but has been racing like she wants further in recent attempts.

Geelong: Race 7 (7:37pm)
No. 3 Hot Saki

Hot Saki has drawn ideally in Box 3. She’s armed with late speed and is an experienced track and distance winner, her best coming in a slick time of 25.68 seconds.

Geelong: Race 9 (8:21pm)
No. 4 Doongalla Boy

Doongalla Boy looks a top chance with a vacant box next door. The rise to 460m last week may have been a step too far, but he should be better for the experience after winning his maiden well the run prior at Ballarat.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Sunday, February 23

Sale: Race 3 (5:59pm)
No. 3 Undercover Guy

Undercover Guy is a multiple track and distance winner who will likely appreciate the rise in trip.

He should be racing with a bit of confidence following a well-overdue win last week that saw him storm home from the tail to score by close to four lengths.

Box 3 hasn’t been kind to him in the past, but if he gets back in the run and saves something for the finish again, he looks a decent each-way shout.

Sale: Race 4 (6:17pm)
No. 1 Mr President

The inside box could be key to Mr President’s chances.

The son of Zipping Garth has mixed his form here at Sale, but there was certainly a lot to like about his two-length win at Warragul last week over further.

A multiple-winner from Box 1, he should ping the lids early and look to stalk the lead.

Sale: Race 6 (6:52pm)
No. 2 Minter Frost

Minter Frost is worth forgiving on his two unplaced efforts recently.

He was facing a tough rise in grade at Sandown two back, while the wide alley was clearly against him here last start on his way to finishing seven lengths off.

A winner from Box 2 here starts ago, he should get right back in the run this time and be very strong in the finish.

Sale: Race 8 (7:40pm)
No. 7 Bit Cool

Bit Cool has serious claims if she produced the same sort of late speed she did in last week’s heat win.

The daughter of My Redeemer drew a similar wide alley and landed just off the speed, swinging to the front over the final stages to go on and win by a whopping five lengths.

She’s only four runs into her prep, so with improvement still to come, she looks to be a genuine danger to the favourite.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Saturday, February 22

The Meadows: Race 4 (6:41pm)
No. 7 Paw Phelps

Paw Phelps has placed in both attempts over the 600m trip in the past and appears ready for the slight rise in distance now.

The son of Bernado made full use of the inside box last week in his two-length win over 525m, and he appears likely to get back a little in the run this time from wider out.

The Meadows: Race 5 (7:00pm)
No. 5 Reiterate

Reiterate comes back to compete over 600m where he’s put together a tidy record featuring five wins and four placings.

The son of Fernando Bale has enjoyed just over a month off between runs and is likely to settle in behind the speed from the middle box.

A talented track and distance performer who owns a speedy 34.17 personal best, he should be tough to hold out.

The Meadows: Race 7 (7:46pm)
No. 8 Paw Whistler

Paw Whistler finished in the red two starts back when he rattled off a slick win over shorter in 29.91 seconds.

He maps to land on the bunny from the onset and although he’s mixed his form from wider alleys, he’ll still take serious catching if he shuffles across early.

The Meadows: Race 10 (8:55pm)
No. 4 Mepunga Tully

Mepunga Tully is looking to bring up a hat trick of wins in the Australian Cup Final for trainer Jeffrey Britton.

This impressive two-year-old gapped the likes of Flying Zulu by just over a length in last week’s race, pinging the lids early to finish strongly.

With a quick getaway and a touch of luck from the middle box, she’ll be just as hard to catch up on the speed.

Daily Greyhound Tips – Friday, February 21

best bet
Bendigo: Race 4 (7:02pm)
No. 8 Burn The Witch

Burn The Witch loves racing from these wider alleys, as seen a few runs back when she went clear by nearly a length at Healesville.

She’s facing a sharp rise in distance up to 425m, which she should appreciate given she’s won on five occasions over this trip.

Likely to land on the bunny out wide, she’ll take serious catching.

Bendigo: Race 6 (7:39pm)
No. 3 True Temper

True Temper can get forward in the run and make his presence felt up on the speed.

The son of My Redeemer has won and placed on a handful of occasions from Box 3, not to mention he’s facing a bit of a drop in class after tackling a Grade 6 race at Shepparton last week.

Fitter now third-up from a break, he should be one of the toughest to beat.

each way
Bendigo: Race 8 (8:17pm)
No. 6 Mcivor Olly

Don’t mind this at all for Mcivor Olly back over 500m.

The two-year-old by Feral Franky wasn’t far over further at Ballarat last week in restricted company, and he now faces a bit of a drop back in distance with the wide box at play.

A talented 28.42 second track and distance winner, he should be right in the mix here if he can stalk the speed early

Bendigo: Race 11 (9:20pm)
No. 7 Rusty Wheels

Rusty Wheels is worth sticking with despite a disappointing effort 11 days ago at Warrnambool.

His previous run saw him beaten only 1.5 lengths here over the track and distance though, so there is reason to believe he can bounce back if he gets across early and leads from wider out.
