It all comes down to this.

Somehow someway, the Brisbane Heat have pulled off a fairy tale run to the finals.

It was all doom and gloom for Brisbane just a month ago, they only had 2 wins and were $101 to win the comp. Then all of a sudden the Test players arrived and the Heat just kept winning. They scraped into the finals by finishing 5th and have had to go the long way round to the finals. Eliminating the Thunder, Renegades and now the Sixers. Can the Brisbane Heat pull off the impossible and beat the Perth Scorchers to win BBL 12?

I doubt it.

It’s been a fantastic campaign for Brisbane but the Scorchers are a tier above everyone else in the BBL. They are currently $1.30 favourites and I don’t see the Heat getting close to them. I have said that about every Heat game this finals series however.

You have to be in it to win it they say but I’m not giving the Heat much of a chance here. Scorchers to win, Aaron Hardie 20+ and Jason Beherendorff 2+ wickets is what I will be taking on.

We’ve only got two Big Bash games left this season and on Thursday night we are treated to the closest thing to a State Of Origin clash T20 Cricket can deliver. It’s Sixers v Heat.

The Heat have made it to the finals on the back of the success of their Test players, now they’re on a plane to India. Will Brissie be able to make a grand final without Usman, Marnus and Matt Renshaw?

I don’t think so, the Sixers will be missing Smudge as well but they are still head and shoulders above the Heat and I’m backing them to win in a big way.

Combine that with Phillipe 15+ and Abbot 2+ wickets and that’s a multi I’m a huge fan of!

I get the feeling this isn’t the last time we see these two sides this year.

After finishing 1st and 2nd Perth and Sydney will get a second chance whoever loses this final.

I’m taking the Scorchers to win and Steve Smith & Aaron Hardie to be in the runs. They’re the two form batsmen in the comp and should do a job for their team tonight.

These two sides have limped to the finals and either side can win this one but that’s more a comment on how poor they have both been.

The Heat missed out on a home final after bottling the game against the Canes and the Thunder have looked poor and were very lucky to have the Stars in the final game of the season. If they had played anyone else, they would be on Mad Monday right now.

I’m with the Heat here and it’s their batting stock that has them as slight chances for me. Usman, Marnus, Renshaw and Josh Brown should win games of Cricket for you by themselves, we are yet to see them all fire at the same time though.

I’m back the Skipper to get a few tonight and the Heat to win despite being underdogs!

The Thunder will be looking to lock in a finals berth tonight while the Melbourne Stars will simply be looking to play spoiler.

It’s been an awful season for the Stars with just three wins to their name and a massive $2.20 price it’s hard to see them doing much at all tonight.

Warner and the Thunder haven’t been much better in recent games, they’re just 1 from their last 5 but should limp their way to a win tonight.

Two teams in some fairly rough form will take each other on tonight at Marvel Stadium.

The Renegades are 2 from their last 5 and the Strikers are even worse with just 1 win in their last 5 games.

It’s the final game of the regular for these two squads and a win to the Strikers could see them into the finals. I don’t see it happening however. It’s been a poor finish to the BBL season for Adelaide and I’m backing them to go down to the ‘Gades here

The Hurricanes will host the Sydney Sixers tonight who are hands down the form team in the comp.

Lead by Steve Smith, the first ever player to hit back to back 100s in BBL history – can he be stopped?

Honestly, I don’t think so… Not by the Canes at least.

I’m backing the Sixers to coast home tonight and I’m backing it to be lead by Steve Smith once again.

1st plays 3rd on Sunday night at Optus Stadium and this game should be a huge one!

The Scorchers made it look easy on Friday night when they rolled Adelaide for 92 but I’m think the Gades should put up more of a fight.

Granted they are coming off an 8 wicket loss to the Thunder but I’m backing them to atleast improve from that performance.

I’m backing the Scorchers to win and Aaron Hardie to score 20+ he’s seeing them like beach balls at the moment and certainly is a rising star is Australian cricket!

What a huge Sydney Smash this is going to be!

Dave Warner v Steve Smith, it is all going down tonight at the SCG! The Sixers have opened as favourites and can you blame them?

They are the form team in the comp and a win here will make it 5 in a row.

The Thunder have shot up to 4th on the ladder but outside of Warner, there honestly isn’t much that gets me excited about them.

I think the Sixers should win in a big way here and I think Smudge will lead them to victory.

They may be underdogs but everything is set up here for a huge Brisbane Heat win.

Friday night at the Gabba, a high powered batting lineup, a struggling Hurricanes side. Conditions are perfect for the Brisbane Heat to put on a show!

I’m liking them to win this one, it seems like they can’t do much away from the Gabba this season and a huge Friday night crowd should pump them up here.

They could win three in a row and a Heat win tonight could see them jump back up into finals contention.

I’m backing them to do just that!
