The Heat will host the Scorchers tonight at the Gabba and a few familiar faces have found their way into the Heat squad.

Usman Khawaja will captain the Heat side and that will also add Matt Renshaw and Marnus Labuschagne but those additions haven’t done much to the Heat’s odds of winning.

Despite adding that massive batting talent, they are still $2.20 underdogs to the Scorchers who are $1.67.

Pardon the pun but the Scorchers have been red hot this year and I believe they should win this one comfortably, the Heat as a team just don’t gel together and I don’t believe bring the Test players in and dropping Josh Brown and Nathan McSweeney will bring them any success.

Scorchers to win, Over 155 runs in the first innings and Usman Khawaja to score 20+ Runs gets you $3.41 and that’s what I’m taking on!

The Strikers will host the Renegades and a win could see the Strikers jump all the way from 5th up to 3rd and the bookies like them to do just that.

They’re officially without Rashid Khan for the rest of the campaign and won’t be able to bring in Travis Head and Alex Carey until their Saturday clash with the Heat but have opened as $1.73 favourites to the Renegades $2.10.

I’m backing a high scoring affair tonight and I think it will be lead by Chris Lynn, he’s been a monster already this year for the Strikers and should have another day out against the ‘Gades.

The 3-5 Hurricanes will host the 2-6 Stars tonight and surely someone has to win it right?

Both sides have been incredibly dissapointing this season despite boasting some of the more exciting lineups in the league.

The Canes open as $1.60 favourites and I’m leaning that way, I’ve had a shocker so far predicting who’s going to hit runs so far this tournament so I’m adding Ben McDermott to hit one 6 into my bet to get some extra value.

The Stars have only won 1 of their last 5 games and I don’t see things improving for them here unfortunatley

The Sydney Smash is what we are treated to on Sunday night and it should be a beauty!

Both Sydney sides sit on 5-3 and have been two of the most exciting teams of the tournament so far (If you take away the Thunder getting rolled for 15)

I’m with the Thunder in this one, the Sixers weren’t as clinical as they could’ve been against the last placed Stars on Friday night and the Thunder’s bowling attack could use that to their advantage.

If you’re having a flirt on player markets, I like Rilee Rossouw to hit some runs and James Vince to get a few for the Sixers.

The Heat will head to Perth for the second game of the Saturday double header and while they look a much improved side, I don’t think they’ll have enough to beat the Scorchers.

Scorchers will be without their star seam up bowler and future of Australian Pace Bowling, Jhye Richardson but it’s next man up for Perth – AJ Tye will stand up and do a job for the Scorchers.

I like them to win and I think Josh Inglis will have a big game tonight, he’s looked very classy so far this tournament and has what it takes to knock this Heat bowling outfit all around the park.

The Stars will host the Sixers tonight at the MCG and despite them being on the bottom of the ladder, I’m backing the Stars to turn it all around.

They are 2-5 taking on the 4-3 Sixers and certainly have the talent to be a lot higher on the ladder, they just haven’t put together a full team performance yet.

I think they will tonight and have historically played very well in Melbourne.

It’s the second time they get a look in at each other this week and the Strikers will be hoping they can turn their luck around.

They open as $2.05 underdogs after losing 4 in a row but I think a play on the Strikers is worth a crack in this one.

To the surprise of no Queenslanders, Chris Lynn has found some form the second he’s moved away from The Heat and should be in the runs again against a side he just scored 87 on.

Yes the Strikers have a poor record but they’ve lost all those games by very close margins. I like them to turn their luck around here.

They battled it out on New Years Day in what was one of the best BBL Games of the season and they now get to do it all again tonight!

The Sixers will be hoping that they come up against the Brisbane Heat that everyone else has played this season but Josh Brown may complicate that for Sydney.

He was huge for the Heat at the Gabba and I like him to back it up here. I’m also backing James Vince to get a couple.

The Scorchers will host the Thunder in what should be a huge game. The Scorchers have been massive this season so far, they’re 5-1 and are on top of the BBL Ladder.

Who’s second I hear you ask? Well it’s the Sydney Thunder, that’s right it’s 1 v 2 and I’m expecting a tight matchup that should go the way of the Scorchers.

I can’t quite pick a batsmen who will be in the runs for Perth but I like Russouw for the Thunder, Jhye Richardson has been huge for the Scorchers as well and I’m backing him to get a couple poles.
