The son of So You Think was well supported on debut at Pakenham on the back some very impressive trial performances but failed to let down in the straight and was found to be lame post race.

That was late last month so he’s had time to recover and with the benefit of race experience, I think he’ll be hard to beat.

Walter Spur comes off a tough win over 1000m at Seymour and I think he can make it back to back victories.

It had been a while between drinks for the Gavin Beddgood trained gelding but it was well deserved one as he’s never far away and he certainly appreciated the drop back in grade.

The step to 1200m is a slight query but the way he found the found the line last time suggests it will suit and he gets his preferred conditions.

Queen Katrina has just had the four race starts and looks to have plenty of upside.

Runner up on debut, she then proved superior when stepping out at Seymour..

The daughter of Written Tycoon headed to town at her following outing but blundered badly upon jumping and failed to finish off on the Caulfield Heath.

She took up the running last start over 1200m at Seymour and was just run down in the shadows of the post.

Back to 1000m looks ideal and she gets a senior rider back aboard, with Ben Allen to do the steering.

Lunar Powered has performed well in all three runs this campaign and looks a very progressive stayer.

Sent to the paddock after his first two starts, he returned in fine order to score a determined win over 2400m.

He’s been solid through the line to place at his past two starts and he should find this a touch easier as he drops back in grade.

He’s hard fit and bred to swim, so I’d expect him to relish the conditions.
