No. 4 Parish Priest

J: Thomas Stockdale (58kg) T: Ciaron Maher

Parish Priest has just had one race start and it was solid effort to finish second over the 1200m at Cranbourne.

Settling midfield, the son of Wootton Bassett just wanted to race a bit keen but still finished off strongly.

The cross-over noseband goes on, along with a tongue tie and with the benefit of race experience, I think he’ll be hard to beat.

GEELONG: Race 4 (1:30pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 16 Yes I Know

J: Daniel Stackhouse (59.5kg) T: Anthony & Sam Freedman

Yes I Know kicked off his career with a very encouraging effort over 1400m and he looks ideally placed here with the slight rise in trip.

The So You Think gelding settled well back off the outside gate and set alight at the 600m mark, he powered home to finish second.

He will have taken plenty of natural improvement from the experience and the inside daw can see him settle in striking distance under Daniel Stackhouse.

GEELONG: Race 6 (2:30pm AEST)

No. 9 Angel Of The Sea

J: Daniel Stackhouse (59.5kg) T: Ben, Will & Jd Hayes

Angel of The Sea comes off terrific last start effort over 1400m at Cranbourne and looks ready to peak at her third run back.

The Harry Angel filly just found the ground too firm when resuming here but with a bit give in the track last time, she powered home from the back to claim second, beaten only half a length.

She’s just had the four race starts and looks very progressive, and with a touch of luck off the tricky draw, I think she’ll prove too strong for them late.

GEELONG: Race 10 (4:30pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 7 The Autumn Belle

J: Jaylah Kennedy (61.5kg) T: Henry Dwyer

The Autumn Belle strips fitter for the two runs back and is sure to find this easier than what she’s previously contested.

She was solid to the line when resuming over 1300m and out to the mile last time on the Hillside, she again finished off strongly.

She presents here at peak fitness, the rise in trip will suit and the blinkers go back on.
