Richmond: Race 7 9:08pm AEST
No. 5 Zipping Dekkers

Zippping Dekkers returns to New South Wales after finishing an unlucky sixth in a heat of the Flying Amy Classic at Q2 Parklands.

The Melinda Finn-trained bitch was racing in great form before that with back-to-back wins at Wentworth Park and a sizzling 29.30 seconds over 520m at Nowra.

She has a great record over this course and distance having set a personal best of 29.47 seconds five starts back and winning a trial here last week in 29.66 seconds.

She should land in a prominent position before proving too strong in the run home.

Richmond: Race 8 9:26pm AEST
No. 5 Ferness

Ferness returned from a three-month spell over this course and distance last start in fine form with a 22.60 second win.

The son of Fernando Bale will have taken benefit from the hit out and boasts a good record over the 401m here.

He’s a classy chaser and just five starts ago won the Group 2 Richmond Derby.

The squeeze box isn’t ideal but he has the speed to cross and get on the arm.

Richmond: Race 10 10:08pm AEST
No. 7 He’s Savvy

He’s Savvy was step slow when debuting over 320m here last start but mustered speed quickly to prove too strong in 18.28 seconds.

Given the way the son of Barcia Bale powered to the line, the rise in distance will suit at his second start.

He can draws box 7 which should give him the opportunity to build momentum and power early.

Richmond: Race 11 10:23pm AEST
No. 5 My Friend Bec

My Friend Bec cost herself victory last start over 401m here when running wide on the home turn but to her credit she fought back well to go down by a nose.

The daughter of Sennachie drops in distance but that won’t faze her given she’s won three of four starts over this course and distance including back-to-back victories two and three starts back.

In both those wins she got to the first marker in 2.11 seconds so a repeat of that should see her lead and prove hard to beat.
