LIGHTNING EXPRESS (1) appeals here at short odds third-up over the mile. 

The son of Impending has been tracking well this prep, returning a place effort fresh at Echuca in his first run back in Australia following a sting in Singapore. 

He had the wide gate and plenty of early speed to overcome last time out at Bendigo, but I thought he kept finding over his final few strides to finish only 1.8 lengths off. 

VIZIE’S (6) form has been mixed, but she does present rock-hard fit here for a return to 2000m. 

The daughter of Epaulette has cashed a cheque in back to back runs, last seen beaten only narrowly for second at Kyneton off a wide run in her first start under Will Gordon. 

The pair have an awkward alley to overcome again on Tuesday, but with a slightly wet track potentially suiting, there’s nothing to suggest they can’t go on with it. 

All eyes on YOU’RE TWO VAIN (2) here coming off that brilliant win on debut at Seymour late last month. 

Alicia MacPherson’s gelding made every post a winner on his way to a comfortable five length win, finding an extra gear when it mattered most to put away Olive Baguette, who has since gone on to claim his maiden at Mornington. 

The slight rise in trip poses no problem off a decent gap between runs, and if he slips forward early again along the inside, good luck catching him. 

Keen to give SNATCHED (7) another chance here with the blinkers on for the first time. 

Her three efforts this time in work have been only plain, finishing just outside the money at Ballarat last start where she was denied clean air into the straight and held up badly. 

Fitness-wise, there’s no knock on her fourth-up, and she should love this trip if she handles the conditions like she did last time out.
