No. 6 Empress Of The Sun
There was a lot to like about the debut performance of Empress Of The Sun and she will have taken plenty of benefit from the experience.
Stepping out over the 1457m journey at Echuca, the Ciaron Maher trained mare travelled nicely behind the leaders but was very green in the straight as she wanted to duck in behind them.
Despite that, she still finished off strongly to be beaten only a neck.
With natural improvement, the rise to mile looks ideal and Jamie Melham takes over the steering.

No. 4 Neverenoughlego
Neverenoughlego was solid to the line when resuming on the Caulfield Heath and he strips fitter for the run.
Just finding them a bit too sharp over the 1000m, the son of Ole Kirk looks well suited with the rise to 1200m and he should find this slightly easier.
Blake Shinn will do the steering for team Hayes and can afford him the run of the race from gate three.

No. 4 Bewitchery
Bewitchery won well when resuming over 1200m at Benalla and she then produced a solid effort to finish fourth on the Caulfield Heath.
Despite a wide run, the daughter of Blue Point was strong to the line and she should find this a touch easier.
Ben Allen stays aboard and with the advantage of the inside draw, I think she’ll be hard to beat.

No 4 Zouper Fund
Zouper Fund has made it two wins from three runs this campaign and looks well placed stepping up to 1200m.
The Zoustar gelding won well when resuming at Ballarat but didn’t have much luck at Cranbourne at his following outing.
Off a slow start, he settled well back but charged home late into second, posting a 2.25 length margin back to third.
He was terrific when winning last time, always wide and exposed he still proved too good for them as he let down strongly to score by half a length.
All his runs this time in have been over 1000m but the way he’s been finding the line suggests the rise in trip will suit and he draws to enjoy a soft run throughout under Ben Allen.
