DOOMBEN: Race 1 (11:48am AEST)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 2 Victory Win
Victory Win just looked to peak on his run late last start when stepping out over 1800m off a five week freshen up.
The Annabel and Rob Archibald trained gelding proved too good at his prior start which was over this course and distance, and he looks well placed here with the drop back to the mile, as well as the slight drop back in grade.
A winner of four from six at Doomben, he loves it here and draws to get the run of the race under Jamie Mott.
DOOMBEN: Race 4: (1:33pm AEST)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 2 Al Mubhir
Al Mubhir comes off a very encouraging run over 1500m at Randwick and there’s a lot to like about him here.
Always wide and without cover for much of the trip, he still found the line well to finish third.
Formally trained by William Haggas, the UK galloper was transferred to the Archibald yard after two failed runs at Group One level and he certainly appreciated the drop back in grade last time.
He looks well suited here with the slight rise in trip and he has performed well on wet tracks.
Barrier two will see him afforded a kinder run in transit and he gets the services of James McDonald.
FLEMINGTON: Race 6 (2:50pm AEST)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 11 King Zephyr
King Zepher has taken all before him this campaign and I think he can add another win to his tally when he steps out in the Listed Straight Six.
The Grahame Begg trained gelding has now recorded five wins from his six starts and he’s working through his grades with ease.
His latest victory was over 1400m here, where he sat three deep without cover and still kicked away to score easily.
He’s a class horse, he’s hard fit and I don’t think the drop back in trip will be a concern.
FLEMINGTON: Race 7 (3:30pm AEST)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 12 Berkshire Breeze
Berkshire Breeze has been racing well and comes off a solid effort to finish fourth in the Mornington Cup.
The ghostly grey didn’t look overly comfortable as he cornered into the straight, on the wrong leg, he wanted to lay in and only balanced up 50m out.
His prior start, he finished off strongly in the Roy Higgins, pairing off with Deakin, he was only beaten half a length and posted a fourth length margin back to the rest.
He’s hard fit, he’s proven at this trip and gets the in-form Ethan Brown aboard.
