GEELONG: Race 1 (12:25pm AEST)

No. 2 Electric Elvis

J: Jordan Childs (58kg) T: Grahame Begg

Electric Elvis was sent to the paddock after failing to figure off a tough debut run and he returned in fine order to just go down narrowly on the Lakeside.

Always wide and exposed, the Grahame Begg trained gelding still showed plenty of determination to close off strongly, just finding one better on the line.

With the added fitness and rise in trip, he looks hard to beat.

GEELONG: Race 3 (1:35pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 6 Saltburn

J: Jake Noonan (59.5kg) T: L & T Corstens & W Larkin

There’s no doubting that Saltburn has the ability to win races but he’s cost himself a few times with his bad habits.

He wanted to lay in badly when resuming on the Lakeside but he gets bubble cheeker on here for the first time which should help to correct that.

Placed in all three runs in his first preparation, he was only denied by the barest of margins over 1500m at his second outing and he looks well placed here up to 1423m at his second run back.

He should find this a touch easier than what he’s previously contested and if he does things right, I think he’ll be winning.

GEELONG: Race 6 (3:20pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 1 Dreamzel

J: Jordyn Weatherley (63.5kg) T: Tom Dabernig

Dreamzel comes off a five week freshen up but she’s ready to go off a recent jump out win.

The daughter of Deep Field has put together a tidy record with five wins and a further seven placings from just fifteen race starts and she looks beautifully placed here with the drop back in grade.

Jordan Weatherley knows her well, she’ll take 3kgs off and they’ll be in it for a long way.

GEELONG: Race 8 (4:35pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win Market Mover

No. 8 Angel Of The Sea

J: Celine Gaudray (57kg) T: Ben, Will & Jd Hayes

Angel Of The Sea returns to the races.

The Lindsay Park trained filly has just had the two race starts and she looks highly promising.

Placed on debut after a slow getaway, she then proved superior over this track and distance, beating a handy field including subsequent stakes winner Cinch.

She lines up her off two nice jump outs and was ultra impressive winning her most recent.
