Super Rugby Round 11 Tips and Preview

Super Rugby Round 11 Tips and Preview

Anzac Day weekend is always something special in Super Rugby with some big trans-Tasman rivalries a key feature for Round 11 as the race for finals heats up.

Check out the picks and previews as we look to continue the hot streak on the home stretch.

Chiefs v Force
SGM: Chiefs to Win by 13+ Emoni Narawa Anytime Try @ $2.06

The Chiefs battle the Force on Friday afternoon which has been a happy matchup for the home side in recent times.

The Chiefs have won their seven consecutive matches against the Force which dates all the way back to 2014.

The last three at home against the Force has seen the Waikato men put on 50 points and if they needed any extra motivation, the Chiefs are hoping to avoid back to back losses against Australian sides for the first time in 9 years.

The Force have a terrible record in New Zealand losing their last 21 of 22 across the ditch including the last eight in row.

All the numbers suggest the Chiefs are the play here.

I’ll take the home side 13+ with Emoni Narawa to score.

Reds v Blues
SGM: Reds to Win by 1-12 and Over 56.5 Points @ $5.68

The Blues head to Brisbane full of confidence, defeating the Reds in the last four encounters scoring 40+ points in each of those matches.

It is a pivotal clash for both sides with the Reds trying to maintain touch with the top three on the table, whereas the Blues are fighting to gain some momentum and holding onto the chance of sneaking into the finals.

The Reds have won two of their last three against New Zealand opponents at Suncorp Stadium.

The Reds see the return of Jock Campbell at fullback meanwhile the Blues are without Caleb Clarke and Dalton Papali’I with Beauden Barrett moved to bench.

I’ll take the home side to win 1-12 in a thriller and worth the play on the over total points.

Moana Pasifika vs Fijian Drua
Moana Pasifika to Win by 1-12 @ $2.90

The ultimate Pacific clash awaits in what should be one all out shootout between these two excitement machines.

The Drua have won their last four of five against Moana but have lost their last nine matches in New Zealand.

Moana welcome back Ardie Savea who will play with his brother Julien for the first time in Moana colours as well as the Drua dealing with some significant off field issues.

I’ll take Moana Pasifika 1-12 and might also have a little something on the alternate total points over 59.5.

Highlanders v Crusaders
Highlanders to Cover +10.5 @ $1.87

A huge match awaits as the top of the table Crusaders are looking to win four on the trot taking on the Highlanders who are having a tough season losing five of their last six games.

The Crusaders have won their last 10 Super Rugby games at Forsyth Barr Stadium and the influence of Will Jordan will again be paramount.

He’s made 12 line breaks and 11 break assists this season making him the only player with 10+ in both categories.

However, the Highlanders are due and always up for the challenge, and I believe they are in with a chance in this game for the upset so I’ll back the Landers +10.5 points.

ACT Brumbies v Hurricanes
Brumbies to Win by 1-12 @ $2.70

The final match of the weekend sees the red hot Brumbies return to Canberra taking on the Hurricanes on the final stop of their Australian road trip.

The Brumbies have won their last five of six against the Canes with the last three decided by 8 points or less.

Especially in Canberra, the home side are on a six game winning streak against the Hurricanes dating all the way back to 2017.

The Hurricanes arrive in Canberra after the thrilling 17-17 draw against the Force last week setting this game as must win if they want to keep their season alive.

Team wise, they have named Reuben Love at flyhalf again this week setting up an enticing match up against the Wallaby 10 Noah Lolesio.

I’ll back the Brumbies to continue their strong 2025 season, go with the home side by 1-12.
