PG: Steph Curry 20+ & 4+ 3PT FGs
The Chef makes his first ever appearance in the Starting Five Multi! The Warriors are caught in a 6-way tussle in the western conference standings for seedings three through six. A loss here could see them tumble into the play-in bracket while a win would put them on the heels of the Lakers and Denver in the 3,4 seeds.
At 37yo, the former splash bro, turn splash only child, is unsurprisingly leading the league in 3PT FGs made, averaging 4.5 per game, and is not far removed from dropping 12 threes on Memphis on his way to a 52-10-8 stat line. Let’s grab Steph for another four 3’s and 20+ points.
SG: SGA 30+ Points
Next to Steph I’m playing SGA as my 2nd guard, I mean what a combo. OKC travel to Houston to take on the Rockets for the 5th time this season, currently holding a 3-1 record over the Western conference 2 seed. Shai has averaged a handy 36 points across those four matchups, including 51 last time the pair met. I’m taking SGA to drop his standard 30-piece bucket here.
SF: Kawhi Leonard 25+ Points
Let’s take the Klaw at Small Forward. The Clippers play the first of back-to-back home games against the Mavs, it’s important to note that Kawhi has rarely played both games in B2Bs, so be sure to check the lineups closer to tip off. That being said, the Clippers need to continue to win to secure their safety in the top 6 in the west, a big part of their success has been the return to health an form of Kawhi, who has averaged 26.2 points across his last nine starts, scoring 25+ points in four of his last five games. We’ll take him for another 25+ here.
PF: Another Davis 25+ Points
At Power Forward let’s chuck in Anthony Davis. The Brow has reentered the fray as the Mavericks attempt to salvage what is left of this trash fire of a season. AD dropped 34 points and 15 boards last time out against the Hawks, put will need to work harder for his buckets against the Clips. That being said, the Mavs should run their offence through the Luka trade prize, and his should be able to hustle his way to 25+ points.
C: Draymond Green 6+ Rebounds & 4+ Assists
Finally at Center I’m taking the self-proclaimed 2024/25 DPOY, Draymond Green. Dray has averaged 11-6-5 across his last 10 games, and will be asked to play a big role in keeping Jokic under a 30 point triple-double. In big games, big players step up, and there’s decent value to be had on taking Dray to hit his seasons averages.
