Race 1 (11:20pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 6 The Oppurtunist

J: Celine Gaudray (57.5kg) T: Ben, Will & Jd Hayes

The Opportunist was strong to the line last start over 1200m at Pakenham and he looks ready to peak at his third run back.

The Foxwedge gelding made a pleasing debut at stakes level during the Spring, where he didn’t have a lot of room over the final part and he was sent to the paddock following his second outing.

He’s been solid in both runs back this time in with even luck, I think he’ll prove too strong for them late.

Race 3 (12:20pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 8 My Uncle Did It

J: Blake Shinn (56kg) T: Symon Wilde

My Uncle Did It has just had the two races starts and has finished off strongly on both occasions.

Slowly away on debut over 1206m, the Symon Wilde trained filly travelled well throughout and closed off nicely over the final part.

Up to 1620m last start, she was always wide but still charged late to get within a nose on the line.

The slight rise to 1700m here looks ideal and Blake Shinn takes over.

Race 7 (2:345pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 9 Fully Calculated

J: Dakotah Keane (57kg) T: Ben, Will & Jd Hayes

Fully Calculated has been racing well and I think she’s over the odds here.

She didn’t have the best of luck when second up but bounced back with a strong win at Sale at her following outing.

Last start over 1000m on the Caulfield Heath, she was always wide and exposed but struck on gamely to hold fourth.

She’s fit, she gets in nicely with the 2kg claim for Dakota Keane and inside draw will see her afforded a kind run throughout.

Race 8 (3:20pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 3 Hedged

J: Ben Melham (57.5kg) T: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr

Hedged closed off strongly to claim second in the Hareeba Stakes last start and he looks primed for this assignment.

Prepared by the Price / Kent team, the son of Capitalist just wanted to over race in the Listed feature, puling himself into a three wide position but the team have decided to add the cross-over noseband which should see race more tractably.

A very capable galloper, he boasts solid form against quality opposition and he looks ideally placed here.

Ben Melham stays aboard and gate six should him afforded very chance.
