CAULFIELD: Race 3 (2:10pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 8 Whateley

J: Ethan Brown (59kg) T: Trent Busuttin & Natalie Young

Whateley returns to the races and the son of Written Tycoon has been gelded since we last saw him raceday.

He’s only had the two starts and it was solid effort to finish fifth on debut at Flemington against a hot field.

Stepping out at Listed level at his following start, he endured a tough run throughout and tired late.

He comes here off two very pleasing jump out performances and looks ready to go.

CAULFIELD: Race 7 (4:30pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 3 Charming Nic

J: Harry Coffey (59.5kg) T: Tony & Calvin McEvoy

Charming Nic has just had the two races starts and looks to have plenty of upside.

The Tony and Calvin McEvoy trained gelding was quite raw on debut on Hillside but finished off strongly and showed plenty of improvement last time to score a dominant win at Swan Hill.

Settling in the box seat, he was presented to make his run at the top of the straight and kicked away to score by seven lengths.

This is obviously tougher but he looks very progressive and I think he can win again.

DOOMBEN: Race 8 (4:06pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 8 Autumngirl

J: Cejay Graham (54kg) T: Kelly Schweida

Autumngirl returns to the races and the filly looks ready to go off a very pleasing trial performance.

A daughter of The Autumn Sun, she’s just had the three race starts and has already shown plenty of promise.

Sent to the paddock after her debut outing where she finished the runner up here, she resumed with a dominant win over 1110m at Ipswich last time in.

Found to be suffering from heat stress and having pulled up with a poor recovery at her subsequent outing, she was again given time.

She looks nicely placed here kicking off over the1350m and I think she’ll be right in this.

DOOMBEN: Race 9 (4:41pm AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 3 Miss Joelene

J: Cejay Graham (56kg) T: Kelly Schweida

Miss Joelene, the older half-sister to Autumnmiss, resumes.

A Group One placegetter, the Kelly Schweida trained mare isn’t short of class and she boasts a terrific first up record.

She didn’t miss a top three spot last time in and recorded a deserved win in the $500k Wave before rounding out her campaign with a solid effort to finish a close third in the Magic Millions Subzero.

The 1350m first up looks ideal and she loves it here at Doomben.

Cejay Graham will do the steering and from the low draw she’s set to receive a cosy run throughout.
