Baffleck has been placed in four of his five starts, three of which have been over the 2500m here and this looks his race to win.

Two runs back, in a muddling run race, he tried hard but just couldn’t reel in the leader and last start, he just found one better on the night but gapped the rest, putting up a 3.25 length margin back to third.

He’s hard fit and looks the one to beat.

Savagery Vibe kicks off his campaign and he looks to have come back in top order following a recent jump out win.

The Nick Ryan trained son off Brutal made a flying start to his career with a dominant debut win at Ballarat before competing at stakes level during the Spring.

He didn’t have the best of luck in the Danehill and although he wouldn’t have won, he certainly should have finished closer.

Feeling the pinch late after racing outside the leader in the Crockett Stakes he was subsequently spelled.

He should find this easier and the 1000m looks ideal first up.

Paramount Plus was doing his best work late when making his debut here over 1200m and he will have taken plenty of improvement from it.

Slowly away off the inside draw, the son of Showtime didn’t have a lot of room in the small field but when brought to the outside 250m from home, he finished off strongly into third.

The rise to 1400m looks ideal, the blinkers go on and with natural improvement, I think he’s the one to beat.

Fear No Evil was ultra impressive when scoring on debut and he looks well placed to remain unbeaten.

Kicking off over 1212m at Kyneton, the Russian Revolution gelding worked across to take up the running and never looked in doubt as he kicked clear in the straight to score by over two lengths.

The way he worked through the line suggests the rise to 1400m will suit and whilst he does step up in grade, he looks to have plenty of upside.
