No. 8 Flying Seal

Flying Seal raced well in his first three starts but put it all together in a big way last start over this course and distance.

The Travis Elson-trained dog exploded out of box 5 to put the race to bed early before racing away to win in 22.67 seconds.

He’s the only dog in the field to run sub 23 seconds so a repeat of that should see him hard to beat.

No. 8 Powerful Whiskey

Powerful Whiskey is racing in superb form with four wins from his past five starts.

The George Clegg-trained son of Whiskey Riot loves this course and distance having won his three most races here.

On each occasion he has led before going on to win narrowly in consistently quick times of 22.83, 22.77 and 22.78 seconds.

He has the early speed to cross from box 8 and get on the arm.

Albion Park: Race 6 4:58pm AEDT
No. 2 Annie’s Gift

Annie’s Gift surprised at big odds two starts back when leading all the way over this course and distance for a 7.5 length win in 22.71 seconds.

The daughter of My Bro Fabio proved that excellent performance was no fluke last start when she fought gamely but was beaten by a dog with a better draw, to finish a close second in 22.71 seconds.

After jumping from box 8 in her past two starts, she will enjoy starting from box 2.

No. 2 Lenny’s Honey

Lenny’s Honey will appreciate dropping in distance after failing to run out a strong 520m here last start.

The Jemma Daley-trained bitch loves this course and distance having won three of four starts over it.

That includes a scintillating personal best of 22.48 seconds which she set just four starts ago when leading all the way.

This is a quality Open 395m, but she’s drawn better than her main rivals so hopefully can hold them out early.
